Me: Not nearly as much as Ruby and Felix. Probably not that bad, as she knew the risks when she signed up.

Me: Well then, that depends on what kind of attack you want. Sudden, as in 'you said the wrong thing and now you're dead'? Or some sort of build-up that goes wrong, like 'Sera I've been feeling out of it all day can I please hit you or something'?

The level of guilt varies depending on the situation. With number one, Carlos is going to feel really bad. With number two, he probably won't, even if the beating isn't consensual, because the longer he stays in a mood the less able he is to care about the aftermath.

Also, I use an excessive amount of italics when Carlos is thinking to himself, because that's just how his thoughts go. Do you mind?
