Add reading progress and spoiler flag to shelf RSS feed

I parse my Goodreads shelf RSS feeds to display custom widgets on my site (most notably currently reading and recently read books on my home page, and I'm working on a much more robust "reading portal"). I am quite pleased about the amount of data easily available to me in this manner.

Now I want to be able to display my progress on a book (e.g., "40 out of 200 pages" or "20%") that I'm reading. However, when I looked in the RSS feed, this statistic is not available. I would be very happy to see this added.

Also, could we have a flag for spoilers?

I'm not sure that an rss feed is the best place for this.


Have you taken a look at the goodreads api?

I have, but it seems like overkill for my purposes. Although now I'm thinking I might want to display status updates related to the books I'm currently reading, in which case I'd definitely be using the API. But I think that's something to consider for a future project.
