What's that book? Book by plot.
Please help my find this book, it was lost in a fire :-(A girl lives in a castle with her family, her father is king of the region and is a tyrant. A mythical elderly women goes to the castle for her, but the father refuses to let her leave. The mythical woman helps her escape the castle, where she goes to a village. At the village, she befriends the person in charge who sends her with a protector and they leave the village. He trains her to be the best warrior in the land. She returns to the village where she fights another great warrior and wins. He falls in love with her. She is sent away to battle some creatures in the mist that killed her parents.

I'm looking for a historical romance set in the Victorian era somewhere in England, probably written in the 80s or early 90s.the front cover had a picture of a rose I think. The heroine was a red head. She was from a poorer background and I remember the beginning of the book she was getting hunted by a group of aristocrats in a fox hunt, as though she was a fox and it was something one of the lords in the country areas like to organise-hunting young maids from poor backgrounds with other lords he invited from London for fun, then they would catch them and I think rape them. The hero was invited and after catching her he kept her or something.
Thats all I remember, read it over 10years ago.

hey!!! could you please help me find this book? the sad thing is I don't remember much about this book just the ending! I'm sorry but I think it might be hard. In the ending of the book the villain kidnaps the heroine and takes her in a carriage and I think halfway they stop the carriage for some reason and the villain tries to have his way with the heroine and tells her that if he sleeps with her the hero wouldn't want her because I think of something=g that happened in the hero's past. I think the villain hurts her and she fell to the ground and hero comes to save her and kills the villain and is all protective and trying to calm the heroine and tells he its alright if something happened!
This is it I guess! I don't remember anything else from the story!
Hey all. I'm looking for a book that I have not read, but am dying to. All i remember about it is the heroine loses her phone and some tatted up hottie finds it and returns it to her i think in a park. But when he sees her he decides he wants more. So i think he kisses her and then tells her he'll see her again. Or something to that affect. Thats just from the blurb I read on it. But I forgot to write it down. So no idea who wrote it or anything. Does anyone out there know what book this is? I need to know.... Thanks.

It's all connecting characters. The series revolves around four brothers. It can be read alone, but I think you'll enjoy it more if you start with the first one, Until November, so you don't miss any character connections.

Hi :) I don't think I've ever posted in this forum before. But, I see that y'all are good at finding books by plot and I have two that I have been looking for for years and if anyone could tell me the names of them...well...I'll probably suddenly remember a half dozen others that I have been wanting to re-read!Book 1: I read this in the early 90s. I'm pretty sure it was a harlequin or one of those books. It was about a librarian (at a university, I think) and she begins a romance with the school coach. The only thing I remember about that story is that they go to a carnival and she works at the kissing booth and her friend/co-worker is wearing a shirt that says, "Librarians are novel lovers".
Book 2: This book is from the early 90s, late 80s. I think it was one of those novels that had the holograms in the upper right hand corner.It was historical Ok, The gist: Somewhere in England a woman gave birth to identical twin daughters. I don't think she knew that she had twins though. One twin was taken to the United States and raised to be a spoiled brat. The other twin was raised and abused by her father (step father/grandfather?) and their mother died in child birth. I think she's accused of stealing or something after her parent/grandparent dies and she goes to the US to be a servant or something. Anyway, the spoiled brat twin has married and left her husband and young daughter to go be with her lover. The husband spots the abused twin and thinks that its his wife coming home. The twins are nothing alike and eventually he believes the abused twin. They fall in love. Then, the brat twin comes back. I think that her lover is with her and for some reason they want to kill her husband and he wants to divorce the brat and marry the good twin. I don't know. It all ends when the brat twin has been plotting with her lover to kill her sister and they go for a ride wearing identical riding habits. At the last minute the brat twin gives her sister her feathered hat (the thing that was identifiying her to the lover who was going to kill the good twin) and the brat twin ends up dying. She's happy in the end because saving her sister (that she had plotted to kill) and her daughter were the only good things she's done in life. And now her husband can be happy?

Hello, I've been trying to find the title of a book I read when I was sixteen. (Two years ago) Its a young adult book about a girl who falls in love with a "bad boy" (I know) who she first sees playing volley ball on the beach with his friends. She finds out he was adopted and his ex-friends try to set her on fire or something? I think they end up breaking up and she dates a popular guy at school who seems perfect but months into the relationship he tries raping her at a party and the other guy beats him up. I remember the bad boy has a female friend who has a child in a trailer park. It's not an old book, it's probably 2008 or newer. Thanks in advance!
I've been trying to think of the title and/or author of this book, as I was describing a scene (the only scene I remember, really) to a friend. It's a book about a small-town 'good girl' who leaves and of course comes back and decides to try out being the bad girl mainly to shock the people she grew up with. The male lead is a police officer/deputy/sheriff and is divorced. The scene I remember is a sort of 'showdown' between the lead female and the ex-wife as they meet outside of a store. They don't speak, I don't think, but there is a sort of 'who's prettier than whom?' feel to it, and the lead character wins because she bounces a bit and her boobs jiggle, whereas the ex (who has implants) can't do the same. I want to say the lead female character's name begins with 'M,' but that could be entirely wrong. I realize that this isn't really a lot to go on; I'm just hoping someone will recognize that scene from the description... If nothing else, I'll expand my reading list. Thanks!!!
Hey, I got a tricky one here. I've been searching for this book that's at least 8 years old. I remember that the title had Blood in it and the cover had a drop of blood (or a tear drop of blood).
All I can recall of the plot is that a teen girls mother is murdered by a hitchhiker. I think she was in the car when the mom picked him up. I appreciate any help!
I am trying to figure out a book title and maybe you can help! The book is about a girl who had a one night stand with a military man she picked up in a bar but did niot get his name. Later on she finds out she is pregnant and not sure what she is going to do. She ends up meeting and becoming friends with a guy who is extremely supportive of her while going through the pregnancy. While joining her new friend for dinner at his parents house she sees a picture of the guy she had the one night stand with. Once she explains this her new friends gets her in touch with his brother ( the baby's daddy). At first he is not too receptive towards her. When he gets back from his tour they plan to meet yet she never shows because she got attacked while pumping gas..... That is all I can remember and it is driving me crazy! If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
For years I've been trying to find this book that was turned into a movie. It's a horror that is very much like "The Bad Seed". Here goes:What I most remember is an old farm house with lots of children and a big corn field. The mother turns psychotic one day and begins killing all of her children, but one got away, a little girl who runs into the corn field and hides. After killing everyone, her mother comes out into the corn field looking for her, calling her name, but doesn't find her...
That's all I remember. It may have taken place during the 50's or 60's. If anyone knows the name of the book--Wow!

Hi read this historical a few months in 2013 first quarter. it was an e book.where girl already engaged to an earl. But a duke becomes attracted to her and tried convincing her to break off. She keeps resisting. They meet at some exhibit where he pulls her in a dark corner where he makes love to her hoping she will realize she is attracted to duke and demands she break betrothal to the earl; when she refuses ; they are almost discovered .Duke realizes with only a few days left for her wedding to the earl only way to make her break the betrothal is to compromise her. Duke invites her to a party arranged at his country state or home where he arranges for his mother to discover them in a compromising position. Just before the set up scene the h walks in on the earl abusing a maid sexually (i recall he was beating her buttocks with a whip or stick. and the earl tries to attack girl too so she is compromised and forced to marry earl for money i think. but duke comes to rescue and marries girl next morning. i have searched the net and gone through hundreds of blurbs but still cant find please help. Another scene is one where even after being found out by the duke's mother and guests the girl still reluctant to marry. They get married next morning and i recall the duke urges her to got to her room after wedding breakfast and girl is embarassed the mom would realize he wants to bed her. also the duke is away in the country for a few months before coming and is bored by the tons beauties and thinks to himself at some point that how come he missed this girl did she debut while he was in the country.tia

HI! so there was this book I read years ago and I think I can remember pretty much the entire plot but don't know who wrote it or what it's called. Its a young adult horror/fantasy but was probably published mid 2000s:There are two girls (both called Kat i think) who could be step sisters? they go on holiday/mmove house and one of them finds this creepy doll with long blond hair that starts cropping up everywhere. also all the books in the house have their names crossed out. names is a running theme throughout the book.
One of th girls also meets a boy in the woods who seems to know about the strange goings on at the house.
*spoiler*
the book ends with the two girls trying to erase the other by feeding the others names to this monster thing. they do this by writing the names down and crossing them out whilst saying a rhyme, the only bit of which i can remember goes like "names crossed out can never be spoken". after they both end up losing their names their younger brother or something renames both of them.
so the plot may be a bit odd but as i say, it was years go that i read this book and it is driving me up the wall that i can't remember what it was called. Any help would be grealy appreciated!

About an athlete, I want to say football player. He crashes his car or motorcycle and is forced to take some off time by his coach. Another player or his mentor offers his cabin and the person's sister shows up. They both refused to leave end up sleeping together, she gets pregnant, but doesn't tell anyone. Then the brother friends out and says they have to get married, the mc gets mad. Some how she miscarried the baby and thinks she's the only one suffering, he doesn't talk to her afterwards for awhile. They end up in a different cabiny place towards the end work it out.

So, a long time ago I was going to read this book—but I just never did. And now I want to ... And I can't remember the name or anything. All I recall is that it was a YA book (I think) because high school was mentioned. And it was told from the males POV (I think). He was the towns golden boy, but really a serial killer. He became enraptured with a girl, and I think (maybe) in the end he killed for her? There also might have been a bit of her POV, I'm not sure.
I read a good book a while ago that I would love to re-read, but now I can not remember the title or the author's name.It's a romance between a bodyguard/head of security and the boss's daughter. The bodyguard as loved the daughter for a while secretly and refuses do guard her, passing the duty off to others under his authority. The daughter is strong willed and hates having a security detail. Using the skills her childhood bodyguard taught her, she ditches them regularly. The only one she cannot loose is the one who taught her who she has also loved secretly since she was 18. The story really takes off when she is run off the road in her sports car shortly after, once again, ditching her bodyguards. There is an assassination threat to the father, so the bodyguard and the daughter run off to a country/mountain cottage until the threat is passed. They escape the house by driving a jeep/suv through the garage door.

I have been looking for a historical romance I read 20 or more years ago. It was about a girl, I think her name was Eve, met a man named Nicolas. They started seeing each other and slept together one night. He leaves and she later finds out she is pregnant. She ends up marrying her older guardian. He dies and she moves to Texas, I believe, where she runs in to Nicolas. I think "Eden" is part of the title of the book.

Hello! I've been searching for a book i read years ago but i don't remember the title or the writer. What I remember is there's a boot in the cover and the story is about an actor or a musician and he met a girl on the road who was wearing a costume (a chicken costume for work or something like that, i know this sounds ridiculous) and he gave her a lift to her boyfriend house who cheated on her and they had a fight. She ended up living with this actor and she found out that he has some issues with his family or something. I think the girl's name is blue? I might be wrong about this. Please help??

I'm trying to remember a contemporary series I read in the last few years. Probably 4 or 5 books. The guys are friends/brothers and serve as the core. Each book involves a guy finding his love. One guy is a police detective, a couple have ranches. One of the women owned a restored boat. One owned a restaurant. A minor sub-plot through all the stories is a psychic woman who warns the detective about his sister's impending death - I think drug-dealer boyfriend's house blows up - thus saving her early in the series. Intermittent contact with the reclusive psychic helping him on cases throughout the other books, maybe a 5 year span.
Then the final story - my favorite - is the detective's, where the psychic comes back into the his life - having waited because she foresaw the death of one of his twin toddler nephews. And if she intervened at all in their lives before the critical point, she might not be able to save the little boy.
In that final book, the psychic is also in danger from a deranged guy who thinks she knows he killed someone. So he's on a rampage killing psychics.
I remember lots of detail about the final book.

I am looking for the title of an ebook I had read awhile ago. It starts out with a stripper - can't remember her name- who is being forced to work at the club because she is in debt to the owner. She meets a client who is there I think for a bachelor party and gives him a lap dance. Before she is forced to go further than she is willing to with another client because her boss is forcing her to, she flees the club and hides in the guy 's - who she gave the lap dance to- car and ends up going home with him. Hi, I am new to the group. Can anyone help me find a book that I read 5 or 6 years ago?Its a historical romance in which a girl is travelling to the west to see her brother. the stagecoach she was travelling in was attacked by the indians and she and a kid were the only survivors. the hero saves them both and takes her to her brother who tries to get her married to some old guy he owes money to.

And there's this guy in school that wants to date her and after asking multiple times, she finally went on a date with him, keeping the fact that she has a daughter from him.During one of their dates, her daughter was admitted into the hospital and thats when he found out about her daughter and said some nasty stuff to her.

I am trying to remember title/author of book I read in the 90's. Picked it up on sale table in bookstore in Seattle. Author was woman who had traveled to Yukon or Northwest territories from lower 48 to live a year in the wilderness with boyfriend. Barely survived. Years later I read that it was 18 years later and she was going to repeat trip with son. Anybody else read this?
Hey guys hope this thread is still open as I really need help finding this book. It is a young-adult, possibly supernatural (in the ways of magic), and is about this high school girl who is shy and rather unpopular and the class goes on a trip to Russia and stays in a castle (I think, well something along those lines). On the trip the girl is given a sort of special treatment compared to the others - she almost treated like royalty? - and she ends up being like the queen of the surrounding wolves or something? I think there's a guy in the castle and they fall in love and whatnot but I'm not really sure on those details. What i remember:
I guy working in advertising is fired by his boss and returns home to find his girlfriend cheating with the same boss.
The guy decides to turn his life around and starts his own advertising agency, which turns out to be very succesfull. He also sets up a plan to take revenge on his ex. The guy becomes a bit of a jerk but it works out for him. The guy moves into a smaller place and falls in love with his new roommate.

I was wondering if someone could help me find the title of a book which is a part of a romance series. the entire series has a big family and the book I'm looking for is not the first of the series.The main character is a woman who is divorced and has cancer. She initially doesn't tell anyone. She sends her kids to her ex-husbands place for Christmas, i think , in order to have a mastectomy, but her ex-husbands brother who is a doctor at the hospital notices her and tells her ex-husband. Once the surgery is over she wakes up to find her kids and ex-husband as well as his family in her room. The ex helps her while shes recovering and begins to fall back in love with her. Initially the ex has a girlfriend who he proposes to but the girlfriend eventually breaks up with him because she realizes that he is i love with his ex-wife.
Ok, here's a book that I'm looking for. I read it oh my goodness in the early to mid 90s (good luck) it was about siblings (twins, maybe) who are separated for whatever reason. The boy can astro-project and I don't know what the girl can do. I remember the boy has a talk with a priest/preacher/pastor and the priest encourages him to talk about...whatever...and when the boy is hesitant the priest tells him that everything that they talk about in that room will be off the record and held in secrecy and the priest tells him all of this shady stuff about his own past and then they go for a walk outside. The priest tells everyone about what the boy had shared and when the boy gets upset he reminds him that they had promised that everything they talked about in that room was secret. Ring any bells?
Hi there-I'm a Newbie at this but I would really like to find this book but I also only know some of the plot. It's a Paranormal and all I know about it is a woman is leaving her husband (who she just found out is a powerful vampire) & either a male friend of hers or male friend of her husbands is going to help her leave him. I was at a used book store-picked this book up-thought it looked really good- put it down to look at some other books and couldn't find it again. Hi! I been looking high and low of this book. I had it once but I lost it during moving. Tried on google, bookfinder or any search engines but no dice. It's historical setting with a widowed protagonist who was struggling financially and trying to keep her estates with freed slaves after her husband death. A duchess (or some kind) summoned her to make an strange offer: to marry her crippled son because the duchess was afraid people would take him to asylum (or some kind) and in exchange she would have financial security. The protagonist agrees with conditions and they marries. Sound familiar? Please, it's the tip of my tongue but I can't seem to recall the name of the book! It's driving me crazy!
I am looking for an erotic story. I think it is a short story (part of a collection).I remember that it starts with 2 men in a business meeting, they are told that they have to fly out to California to oversee the construction of a new building. So they call their wife (they are married to 1 woman) and tell her they cannot make their reservations that evening.
The wife is in the resturant, waiting to tell her husbands the news....she is pregnant. When she gets the call she is very understanding, even though the husbands have been ignoring her needs and wants for the last year.
So, instead of canceling their get away vacation (it was going to start the next morning) the wife decides to go on the vacation without her husbands and decide what to do with her life when she gets back.
Her husbands come home, and find that she is not there. The hunt begins for their wife, and they find her on an island in the Carribean. So they decide to spend the week proving to their wife that they really care about her.
I also remember that the husbands are called back to the states (their newest contract demands their immediate attention), and they fly home first.
The wife fly's home a few hours later, but comes down with a severe pain in her side. She is immedietly taken to the hospital, and when the doctor tries to contact her husbands they don't answer. It makes the wife wonder if her husbands have changed at all, so she asks the doctor not to let any visitors into her room.
The husbands eventually check their phones and realize the seriousness of their wife's condition.
When they get to the hospital, the husbands find out that their wife is pregnant and is at risk to lose the baby.
Then the husbands leave a note for their wife telling her to get better, and to keep fighting. So they leave the hospital, and return a few days later to collect their wife. The husbands finally change their behavior, and are spending more time with their wife.
I also remember that the story ends with the wife telling her husbands she loves them, and her husbands telling her that they appreciate her and will not put the needs of their business before her again.
I also remember that the husbands were best friends, and were running a multi-million dollar company.

It's a contemporary adult romance/thriller. Set in Washington DC.
It stars a prim and proper high school teacher, who wears a garter belt and thigh high stockings under her proper suits. And the hero is the agent of a government agency( atf, fbi, cia...) single father of one of her students. On the way to a parent teacher conference with her about his son, the teacher, after having a disturbing meeting with the local rich bully father and the principle, the agent and teacher collide in the hall, where he learns about her thigh highs... I think the rich father guy has some sort of crime type of thing going on, hence the thriller/mystery. However it may be just a humorous contemporary romance. I'm really not sure.
