Shelleyrae at Book'd Out | 346 comments Yay Orange Crush :)

Magic Slays just arrived in the mail today ..hanging on to it in the hope that it will fit the next category!

message 110: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Yay! Me too (waiting for next categories) It's calling me ... read me, read ME, READ ME! Like the Tell-Tale Heart or something. Kate with her way to big boobs and hidden sword, Curran with his Alpha stare ...

message 111: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments That's it torture me!! I'm still waiting, though if Shelleyrae's got hers, then mine can't be too far away. I hope.

message 112: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments :( Sorry, purely unintentional. I'm actually pullin' off some wicked self-torture by waiting to read it. Hope yours is a driveway away. ;)

I ordered three other books at the same time as Magic Slays and the other three all appeared on different days before Magic Slays did - go figure lol
Hope it gets to you soon!

Oh snap Sandra, mine is about a week away and it's killing me.

message 115: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yep, I'm the same Shelleyrae. I've even received books posted 4 days later than MS. All fingers & toes are crossed.

message 116: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments I have mine...but am just starting Magic Bleeds today!

message 117: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Enjoy Judithe, its so good.

I want to read it again for the 1st time. LOL.

message 118: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments YAY! Definitely enjoy! Ditto, Sandra. This will definitely be a series I'll re-read. Maybe after MS when we have to wait .... too long probably ... for the next one.

message 119: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yep, sounds like a plan!!

message 120: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Maybe we can do a group or anybody-join-in buddy read? ;)

message 121: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (last edited Jun 09, 2011 07:33AM) (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments So....the stack of papers to grade is still staring at me...but Kate & Curran (view spoiler). I want to just ignore the papers and finish the novel...then move immediately on to MS...but feel like a drug addict knowing that's my last fix for MONTHS so I should savor it...or end up going crazy because it's gone! Aghhhhhhhh

message 122: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments ROFLMAO!

Group re-read or buddy read sounds fine!

message 123: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments ROFL!! So funny, Judithe. I hear ya on the spoiler ;) Hawt!

Yay! Kate & Curran re-read! Most excellent! I'm all excited and I have even read the recent book yet. LOL!

message 124: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Whew! That was soooo gooooood! MS is next...if Mr. Randomizer flubs and calls a category that it WON'T fit in, gonna kick...oh, maybe I should be groveling rather than threatening?

BTW, I'm up for the K&C re-read!

message 125: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Hope Mr. Randomizer is kind to y'all this week. I don't know how you can have MS in your hands and not read it!! After the last two books, Curran has definitely moved up in book-boyfriend rankings :D

message 126: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL! It's burning a hole in my bookcase, that's for sure! Come on, Mr. Randomizer, take pity ...

message 127: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments I was gonna ask Orangers, whether you'd decided on a name? One of us mods can edit it for you but you gotta tell us what you want!

message 128: by Daffodil (last edited Jun 10, 2011 07:23AM) (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments Looks like MS is going to be a popular choice in the next round, IF Mr. Randomizer does the right thing. I don't know how many times I've picked it up and then put it back down on the top of my TBR telling myself to wait until this weekend. I do know I won't be able to wait another week, regardless of what happens with the C4 choice.

++++++
I have an idea for your team:

Orange you glad we finally picked a name

;D

message 129: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LMAO Daffodil!

I'm with you on MS. It's this weeks CC4 book or just 'cuz I gotta. Either way, baby's getting read next week!

message 130: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

This Week's Categories Are:
1. Cover Color: Yellow
2. Setting: Urban**

You may choose to pick a book using both or either category. Be sure to include your cover, if using that category.

** When picking books using 'setting: urban', please keep in mind this is not referring to UF, but books in an urban setting.

ur·ban
1. Of, relating to, or located in a city.
2. Characteristic of the city or city life.

message 141: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Sorry Nici! I saw your post, because I remember thinking you better have the next books on hand because the cliffhangers are killer, then probably just didn't scroll up when posting. I plead lack of sleep as an excuse. Fixing it now.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Game Changes: Let's shake it up a bit, shall we? <<--- Read the update here

message 146: by Nici (new)

Nici (queennici102) | 697 comments I finished Bloodfever four stars. You were right, the cliff hanger is a doozie! I do have the next book but I need to finish Daughter of the Saints: Growing Up in Polygamy

message 147: by Vivian (last edited Jun 14, 2011 12:38AM) (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments I assume June 13 as date funished? The polygamy book sounds interesting, added it to tbr.

ETA: Could everyone please add date finished reading, because of different time zones/posting some time after finished, it helps me from making guesses, thanks :)

Yay for the change to two chips next week. It'll keep the game interesting!

message 148: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Finished Death Masks. June 13, ****

This might be the turning point in the series for me (most people say books 3 or 4 although my reasoning is totally different, lol), but this was the first one where I didn't work myself into a stressful state over Harry getting himself almost killed every other chapter. Progress! Pretty formulaic books - Harry gets case, case ends up dragging him into the world of supernatural baddies trying to destroy the world, he gets himself almost killed repeatedly, then saves the world, but it's all really interesting still. Lots of fun, Harry's humor/sarcasm is entertaining, and it's so action-packed, you can never find a good stopping point.

Shelleyrae at Book'd Out | 346 comments I included my date but you must have missed it

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments Finished: 6/14 The Astral: A Novel

Rating: FIVE STARS!

Review: I could not put this book down. It's the story of Harry Quirk (whose name fits him very well) who has just been kicked out of his home by his wife, Luz. He struggles to get on his feet and keep some semblance of family. His daughter is a freegan and his son becomes member of a religious cult. Christensen does a beautiful job of keeping the story moving through Harry's voice and twists. LOVED IT!
