hmm, i wonder what Pritkin is up to in hell right now - do you reckon the stay will change his opinion of demons at all - and how will his relationship with his father have changed? Karen confirmed in one of the question and answer things on facebook that it's possible that not much time might have passed on earth, but due to differences in the time lines like with Faerie, far more time might have passed in hell. so surely in all that time, his views must have varied a little?

i think he'll still hate demons and im positive he will hate his "father" even more for dragging his butt back to hell.do you think he will allow himself to be "handed" out??
probably. i can't imagine them ever having a good relationship, or even a neutral one after everything with his wife and Rosier trying to kill Cassie so often.but there was another thing i was wondering about - when Pritkin gets back from hell, presumably he'll be allowed to have sex and feed again (well, definitely really, or else all Pritkin fans will just remain highly frustrated for all eternity), and he mentions in HtM that not feeding and letting his incubus half starve seriously reduced how powerful his magic was. so does that mean when he gets back, being allowed to feed and get laid again, combined with possible increase in powers from all the demon sex with the demon lords etc that Rosier wants him to do, will mean that he'll get back with a major increase in power?
Hooboy! That's something I never thought about. I was thinking that maybe just maybe Pritkin will realize how much he loves Cassie when he is in hell. He won't even admit it to himself that he loves her. Maybe when they return we might get to see some action between them (more than the previous scenes I mean!).
If we get some Pritkin/Cassie action in the next book that does not stem from a life-or-death-necessity/incubic influences for once I might actually explode. Can you imagine? One of them instigating... anything, just a kiss even, on their own, based purely on their feelings and no other outside interference... I will DIE.
i wonder if the police will ever discover the link with that scene in the book when they have to investigate the multiple deaths when all of us Karen Chance fans simultaneously explode O_o
Then during the police investigation members of the force will read to try and understand the cause of death and die themselves. And then it will spread like The Ring as more and more people investigate and die of happiness :O
hmm, maybe THIS is how the world ends, instead of Ragnarok? i hope so. i'm pretty sure i prefer this ending. this way we all get to die very VERY happy ;D
God how long was I out? Lol you guys went crazy!! The pile on Pritkin sounds good, but her might die from lack of air, and we don't want that!!
Pritkin is never going to like his father. He did drag him back to hell, and he is planning on pimping Pritkin out. Who on earth could love that man?
So none of you think that Pritkin already realizes how much he loves Cassie? Am I just really reading in between the lines?
Isn't the time in hell slower? So when Cassie goes to get him won't only hours pass?
My favorite character other then Pritkin and Cassie, would definitly have to be Dory. She's the total opposite of Mireca-which I absolutly love- and totally badass!!! I think she strives to be better than the hand she was dealt with, which really makes an awesome character.
And seriously that would be an awesome death. Only if that scene ever happens! Here's to hoping it'll come in the next book!!!!!
Recently I like to fantasise about Cassie getting so worried about Pritkin that when she finally finds him in hell she runs up and hugs him and kisses him all over his face.Of course this won't happen, but still I can dream *sigh*
She does, after all, get quite crabby and emotional when his life is in danger :P

i thought the time went slower in hell as well??
im thinking that pritkin might of realized how much he felt for cassie when she was dying at the end of HtM but he might still think it was his duty to do anything to protect the pythia - im kinda hopeing he does realize but pritkin being pritkin will prob think he was just doing what a good body guard would. :P
So true Duca!! Cassie gets really pissed when Pritkin gets hurt. And that scene can happen! So much needs to happen between them, and this is only the begining!!!And Pritkin has to know that he cares for Cassie much more than just wanting to protect the Pythia. If he doesn't...well then I wouldn't call him the sharpest tool in the shed.

QUESTION 1: In DM Claire describes Faerie and Earth's timelines as two rivers that sometimes run parallel and sometimes bow away from each other, causing more time to pass in the one bending away before meeting back up with the other. Pritkin says in ETN that time in the demon realms moves much the same as in Faerie only more so.
We've only had the example of it passing more quickly when Pritkin spent a decade there while centuries passed on Earth. Unless you can count Rosier regenerating his body slightly faster than expected. I'm not sure about that one since it was only a matter of days, and Cassie was confused as to how much time had actually passed.
So, does the river analogy also apply to the demon realms, the only difference being time moves even more slowly in the bends? I guess that's a roundabout way of asking if time in the demon realms can pass both faster and slower than on Earth.
A: Yes.
so time COULD be passing slower in hell, but it could also be passing faster. we don't know yet :P
well i was thinking that as well when i said "i thought hell moved slower" and faerie moved faster (view spoiler)... but im aslo kind of hoping pritkin will be in hell for a while (dont freak - its not to be mean to pritkin or anything, its because cassie and his reunion will be so much more AWESOMEER if he is) but saying that, there's usually a couple of weeks/months/year whatever between books (for the characters)... and i dont want pritkin coming out retarded or anything.
i second that sentiment. although he's Pritkin, so obviously he'll be seriously pissed when she comes to rescue him, hopefully the time stuck down there should make him really miss Cassie and fully realise how much he cares about her, and make him determined to finally ACT upon these feelings. and then they shall have sex in a non life-or-death situation, and all our heads shall explode, and the apocalypse shall begin :D
lol i REALLY cant wait till there reunion - you know its just going to be hilarious! pritkin will be SO pissed! i imagine a really read face with teeth grinding and his cheek muscle clenching with swear words and cursing and prob name calling maybe he'll even pick cassie up and shake her until her eyes raddle around her head :D Cant wait!

hmmm im kinda hoping it will be SUPER epic but im also excited about them going marching off into faerie, so im hoping it wont take the whole book. also i wonder if cassie will try and steal pritkin or try and bargain - first i thought bargain but if she can use her powers in hell without roiser's knowledge it might be easier to steal pritkin then deal with the consequences later ??
i dunno, that would result in one very pissed off demon lord....but yes, it will undoubtedly be super epic, what with how all the demon lords seem to have convinced themselves that Cassie is about to start waging war on hell, and that was before they heard her mother was Hel, who they're REALLY not fond of - yep, this is going to be dramatic ^_^
Gosh can the next book come out already! These imaginations of so many different types of scenarios can make anyone go insane!

aaw, i think i might actually be a little bit sad when i get the next book and it doesn't include so many of the scene's we've come up with here :'(
yea - i really hope we dont build up the hype so much that when we actually read the next book were all disappointed. it would be hilarious but REALLY suck! lolbut i have faith in Chance ^.^
hmm, good point. i think i might get all my hype out of the may in 2011 then let it dye down over the course of 2012 so i can be as hyper as i like but not be disappointed. i really hope that works, so else i shall die of sadness D:
Actually whatever we hope for I don't think we will be disappointed in the next book because it will come all to this that we will get some action!

im a REALLY bad writer but i'll try and describe my little Cassie and Rosier scene.
alrighty so there in hell (in the incubus court, im assuming Rosier would have one) Rosier is sitting on his throne chair or whatever and with heaps of other incubus/demons hanging around and Cassie is trying to bargain with him - he gets his minions to bring Pritkin out (he prob has handcuffs on to try and stop him from escaping or something) in the middle of the bargaining to try and distract Cassie or maybe get a reaction (im thinking he would just be joking around with Cassie and has no plans to release pritkin but cassie prob knows this) this is the part where pritkin notices cassie is in hell for him and he starts swearing and turning red and cursing everyone under the moon or whatever (very amusing stuff for us readers) but cassie ignores him and keeps trying to bargain with rossier - then something would happen, i have no idea what but something - and cassie threatens to kill rossier and he laughs thinking she cant use her powers (cause she kept her goddess ass kicking skills secret) and shifts up to rossier puts the dragon killing whammy on him then shifts to pritkin and bails (also very amusing stuff for us readers) while the other demons/incubus run around trying to help rossier and figure out WTF just happened TADDAH!
theres my awesome scene - its way better in my head but i warned you all i was a crappy writer :P

i would say rescuing pritkin would be top priority for cassie so that would happen first then her and pritkin (plus whoever else) would go marching off into faerie.
im thinking that caleb, the french witch (cant remember her name) and possible marco will be the main back up when cassie dosnt have pritkin unless Chance brings in someone knew.
im hoping there will be lots of marco but he has to report to mircea so maybe not??

QUESTION 5: Since Artemis is essentially Hel who is over Hell or at least power over the nine hell regions and Pritkin's father is a Lord of the demons who I am assuming are in hell... So would that not make ...Cassie having some power over hell since Cassie is Hel/Artemis's daughter? Would that not make Pritkin and Cassie drawn to each other since Pritkin said other demons can sense each other, even though I know Cassie is not a demon, but she would have to have some type of power. Also, would that not make Cassie a princess of hell, like Pritkin; a prince of hell. Is that way too deep of a thought or am I reading too much into this. :)
ANSWER: If you read the old Greek and Roman legends, you run across a lot of children/grandchildren of the gods with human partners. Most of the heroes of the Greek myths fall into this category, in fact. But even those sired by Zeus himself were nowhere near as strong as a full god. Some took after their human parent and had little to no “godly” abilities; others had some sort of talent, but only in one main area (Hercules and strength, Achilles and invulnerability, Jason and being a giant prick, etc.) That’s a long way of saying that Cassie probably inherited something from her mother, but there’s no telling exactly what. However, she is unlikely to have anything close to Artemis’s full strength/repertoire.
As far as being a princess of Hel, you need to remember that Rosier was not at all happy at the thought of the old gods returning. Not. At. All. So I don’t think “princess” is exactly the term that would be applied to Cassie in Hell. And the term that might be used I can’t say on a family-oriented site.:) Suffice it to say, I don’t think she will be getting a tiara anytime soon.

I totally forgot about all the demons hating the gods. Thanks!!!Francoise!!! I love her frenchness!! She's amazingly hilairious, however I don't think she will going back to Faerie, because then they might try to enslave her again. Hey what happened to that pixie? I miss her...sort of.
And Ashleigh I totally agree with you. I'm super excited about this book!! I also think that your scene wasn't bad. I could totally imagine Pritkin all red and cursing.
Do you think we will be seeing more demon lords? And what kind of inherited ability do you think Cassie got?
Oh, I miss Radella - i'm not entirely sure why, but I genuinely do. She'd better turn up when Cassie goes back to faerie - speaking of, anyone have any theories about what the fae blessing Radella gave to Cassie in EtN does? I kinda think it will let her use her powers in faerie.And I really don't know why, but for some reason I was never too keen on Françoise. It's not that I dislike her - I just don't like her as much as so many of the other awesome side characters in the series. Maybe because she's French and I'm English. Grrr, French. Although she was pretty awesome in CtD when they went shopping and then to rescue those kids.
And I think we will definitely be meeting more demon lots in the next book - it's been all nicely set up for it, and I'm sure Karen Chance won't disappoint. And if not meet, then at least hear about them when they start causing yet more problems for poor Cassie :')
did the dark fae queen say that if cassie and friends rescue her husband from the green fae she would get the dark fae to help her track down tony?? so maybe Radella will pop up then??Really? i love françoise! i love how she'll always help cassie and i love trying to understand what the hell she's saying :P and she has wicked spells!

That's good, I've been wanting to see more demons in these books. I hope Karen brings in a new character, thats some sort of major badass demon!!

im pretty sure the gargoyles are either in hiding (from the circle, didnt cassie make a deal with casanova to hide them?) or still in the kitchen
and the kids are still at the hotel were tammi is trying to find them homes or a big house to rent for them all to share.
maybe cassie will make some demon friends - she makes friends with everyone :D

Yes, apparently, but it was never in the books. I read somewhere that it was due to happen in EtN at the end, but Karen thought it would slow down the pace too much - or something along those lines. Which is a shame, I would have loved to have seen that scene.
And I second the desire for a badass demon as a new character - it and Pritkin would get along beautifully ;D

im not sure which culture that rune stone came from - my friend use to own some and i remember it from then.
God how I love the idea of a jealous Pritkin. That's not to even mention a possessive Pritkin.... *fans self*
