oh, wow. i love how off topic we've gone here. you know, i don't think i every actually answered the question this entire thread is about :)

so, if i could meet any character in the Cassie Palmer series who would it be? hmmm....

well, not Mircea i guess, since i'd probably walk out of that one knowing noting more than i did to start with, what with his ability to avoid topics and divert people. champion of small talk, and i don't want small talk.

Oh! Cassie and Pritkin are awesome characters, but I want to talk to JONAS!!! i do love marsden. he's hilarious, and seeing as how he came up with the whole ragnarok idea, he must be pretty damn good with the insane elaborate theories! maybe he'll know what's going to happen in the next book =D

The switching bodies scene was a classic. I loved how Pritkin was able to take it so well. And ok I know that my minds in the gutter, but do you think there was any groping during that scenario?

But what if the series ends? What's going to happen? O.O Do you think Karen would somehow manage to bring out another story that ties in with Cassie or one of the other characters?

And totally random, but I have a question. So now that we learned that Cassie's mom is Hel and her dad was Hel guard dog-right?- does that make Cassie a full goddess? Or only half? And if she's full doesn't that mean that Pritkin didn't do anything with a human? So does Rosier really have claim on him?...

A: Cassie's father is an interesting individual with a very unusual back-story. But no, he isn't a god. He is a magical human, like Jonas or Caleb or any of the other mages you've seen. Rag (or Garm as his name is translated in Old Norse) was a protector of the goddess Hel, and that is the function Cassie's father served in this book. As Jonas said, the old legends contain truth, but have to be interpreted. This is my interpretation of that part of the story. You'll learn more about him in future books.

So Cassie is what she always was, a demigoddess; she just knows about it now. But there were always clues to that in the series: the Graea's fondness for her, things she shouldn't have been able to do (like springing them from their trap), the fact that she pulled the Pythian power away from the designated heir, her facility with some aspects of it despite zero training..."

i loved how at the end of one of the books pritkin comes barging in demanding about his legs - and how when cassie is shaving his legs she tells billy-joe shes "man scaping" lol - classic!
deferentially my most favorite part in the series.

im still not sure - you would think karen would have givin a clue or something in HtM.
the only thing i can possible think might be a clue is that in HtM cassie said something about rosier not being after her anymore but she didnt mention why.

but thats kinda a lame clue... but.... karen is tricky like that, lol.

i just finished re-reading HtM and i figured out part of the reason cassie has to go to faerie.
reason #1 is Morrigan (the pissed off raven court in a cyclone fae queen) said they would be even if they helped rescue her husband (the dark fae king) from the green fae who is currently working with the bad guys + tony.
reason #2 is tony has cassie's dad soul in a paper weight as you know cassie's dad soul is intertwined with cassie's mums soul to keep the spell working in-case she dies - but tony doesnt realize he has the key to let loose all the gods so they have to get cassie's dad's soul back before the bad guys realize what they have :D TADAA!

also i believe there will be more caleb in the next book to help cassie not die since he is the only one who knows about pritkins secret past. also cassie is going to be so much more kick ass now that she's fully accepted the power - totally cant wait <3 Caleb, haha.

aaah yes, i'm definately looking forwards to more Caleb in the next book - and more Cassie finally kicking ass =) it's so very fun to watch Cassie develop from tarot card reading estate agent to awesome Pythia/demigoddess.

and yes, Cassie definitely has to go into faerie at some point to do all that shiz - i was more confused as to why she had to go there in the next book before she rescued Pritkin. basically, i want her to go rescue Pritkin immediately and not go treck round faerie first :)

There's no way Cassie would wait to save Pritkin, I think she's pretty attached to him now :D The last line of HTM (Raise some Hel) seems to suggest she's going off to the lower Hells to save him first and I can't bloody wait <3!

When Shadowland was up before Karen took it down, didn't Pritkin say something about him loving her? And in HtM when he got back from Faerie, Cassie was cleaning his wound and there was that scene that Pritkin gave her a look, and then in the pizza place he was saying that Mireca didn't like him for other reasons? Am I just reading into these bits?

And yes! But Cassie has always been kickass, she's just more so now! :)

And as much as I want Cassie to save Pritkin first, shouldn't the world and preventing all of the gods from coming back be the main priority?

So since Pritkin is momentarily not in the story do you think that Caleb is going to be the temp war mage body guard? Maybe she'll drag him into Faerie with her. :p

im pretty sure pritkin was saying mircea didnt like them getting there groove on which is understandable - im surprised mircea even see's pritkin as a threat, i kinda thought mircea would think of himself irresistible to females who didnt have to worry about other men... my bad for those not very pleasant thoughts towards mircea, lol.

im pretty sure cassie is going to be draging a complaining caleb around with her until she rescue's pritkin.... maybe even after that.

but i think Mircea's reaction depends on the situation in which they meet. i think maybe he'll try to act cool and squirm out of it, but inside he'll be freaking. cassie + dory = insane levels of chaos + them trading facts about him he really doesn't want them to know =)

Marco is totally awesome. And his hissy fits are hilarious. The sofa scene was great. I thinks he makes up for having Sal die. I liked Sal and I thought it really sucked when she went all bad. Oh and what happend to Dee? I miss her!!

Honestly I'm not really loving Mircea anymore. He's just a controling freak, and he's gettin' on my nerve! I really don't think that he's even going to try to tell Cassie and Dory about eachother. They'll haave to find out on their owns, and when they confront him he'll ignore the whole situation.

But I am looking foward to having Dory and Cassie rip him a new one. :D

The lack of a new Karen Chance book has totally gottemn me loopy. I think I'm suffering from withdraws. :(

Of this group playing poker...[cassie, marco, caleb, pritkin and jonas oh and dory]...I would say the vampire would win because he can hear heartbeats of the humans and know when they are bluffing, or Cassie would win because Billy would help her. Dory would lose her temper too soon.

Cassie has Billy, Marco's a vamp as you said, so excellent poker face, Jonas can pretend to be all innocent and sweet, and Dory mentions she has a relatively good poker face at the start of midnight's daughter. so yep, Pritkin is definitely going to loose his clothes here :)

I love Louis Cesare too!! I find him funny. I think its that french thing :D. But he'd be to comfortable with stripping down. He's super funny when he's aroudn Dory. I have to think that everybody loves him.
