Joanna OH!!! It's fantastic! It's one of my absolute top 5 books EVER! :) I hope you'll enjoy it. It's one of those books that I read (and re-read, and re-read etc) and laugh out loud all the way through, at the same time knowing that deep down (weeeell, not that deep) it's as far from from funny as it gets. Beautiful, tragic, funny, absurd, as I said AMAZING! Enjoy. I envy you reading it for the first time... :)

Keith Kelly (nedkelly) I've been meaning to add Catch-22 to my "to-read" list. It sounds great.

I doubt i'll ever get through this ever-growing list!!

Daragh | 16 comments I read it a good few years ago and thought it was brilliant. Plan on reading it again at some point because it was really enjoyable to read.

It's quite different to the books I usually read... And I read a fairly broad range of things I think, so a nice change in pace from the norm

David Gaughran (davidgaughran) | 29 comments It's one of only two books that I read over and over again. It's also the funniest book I have ever read.

Yossarian is one of the greatest characters ever to appear anywhere.

The movie isn't bad, but the book is something else.

David Gaughran (davidgaughran) | 29 comments No! Don't say that!

It does have a certain style which you have to click into, and which takes a good few pages, but it not one of those books that's hard work - far from it.

It's worth sticking with.

Chris One of my fave books ever. Have you made any progress yet, Vivki?
