I remember reading a book when I was a child about three young boys who somehow travel back in time to the wild west, and end up in Custer's last stand. on the cover was a picture of the three boys on top of a large cow and a lasso encircling everything in the picture. the art looks somewhat abstract, not drawn but looks like shapes layered on top of one another. I could have sworn the title was "the good, the weird, and the ugly" or something close to that, but I can't find anything other than a movie by the same name when I type the same query into google. thanks in advance for any help!
