Phillip Murrell I'm almost finished with Star Wars Rebel Rising. I loved Jyn on the big screen, but I'm not a fan of her during her teenaged years. Hopefully the conclusion will turn me around.

Scott | 130 comments I recently read Sacré Bleu, Abarat, and The Haunting of Hill House.

Phil | 58 comments The Demolished Man, a classic I have not read yet. So far, so good!

Susan Budd (susanbudd) | 12 comments I’ve been reading Isaac Asimov’s Robot Dreams on and off for a few months. I find I need breaks when I read short story collections. I just finished rereading The Martian Chronicles and I have a few new books to choose from for my next book, but I plan to return to Asimov, hopefully by the end of 2018.

Allan Phillips 115 pages from finishing the Night's Dawn trilogy!!! It has been a long road and I have enjoyed it all the way, whatever others say.

MadProfessah (madprofesssah) | 76 comments @Allan
Congratulations! Peter Hamilton is still my favorite space opera author and THE NIGHTS DAWN trilogy is probably why. So inventive!

As enjoyable (and less of a time commitment) is JUDAS UNCHAINED and PANDORA’S STAR.

Phil | 58 comments I second the Madprofessah on The Nights Dawn trilogy-- excellent! Working though some Neal Asher right now (one of my favorite)!

message 2071: by Allan (new)

Allan Phillips Thank you, fellow readers! 3300 pages, it certainly feels like an accomplishment! I have a few more Hamilton books that I will get to in time, but there are still a few more reading goals to accomplish this year.

message 2072: by Scott (new)

Scott Congratulations, Allan! I felt accomplished after reading the Commonwealth duology!

Allan Phillips Just finished The Einstein Intersection & Down & Out in the Magic Kingdom to wrap up 2018. Four planned for January group reads: Deepsix, Tea with the Black Dragon, The Mote in God's Eye, The Inverted World. Also want to knock out The Obelisk Gate and The Stone Sky early to close out that trilogy.

Phillip Murrell Fall of Tristan by Timothy Jang. It's superb in every way. A sci-fi Game of Thrones.

Sold me on that premise alone!

Allan Phillips Well, I did finish Deepsix and The Inverted World, but I found the app for my local library and got sidetracked on a few things I found there. Read The Man Who Folded Himself and halfway through Double Star on audio. Will read Tea with the Black Dragon on the library kindle app. Yesterday I found a paper copy of Jim Butcher's The Aeronaut's Windlass and found myself 10% in quickly. Starting off the year a little slowly but I'll catch up.

message 2098: by Kirsten (new)
