Where are we for March? Looking at the libraries available to me, I could do the Clarke, but no one seems to have the Moon book. Or take a month off - whatever people feel like!

message 209: by mark, personal space invader (new)

mark monday (majestic-plural) | 1287 comments Mod
I wouldn't mind doing the Moon, or taking the month off. whatever works.

message 213: by Mordechai (new)

Mordechai Housman | 8 comments Is this topic thread only for people whose names begin with the letter M? (Maggie, Megan, Mark, now Mordechai, and, of course, Moderator.)

message 214: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod

Thanks for your nice words about our name.

What do people want to do for April? As a change, I could do either - I own a copy of The Atrocity Archives, and I read When Gravity Fails a few years ago, so I know my library has it. Preferences?

message 219: by mark, personal space invader (new)

mark monday (majestic-plural) | 1287 comments Mod
I can do either as well, I own both and want to read both. if I had to choose, I'd love Atrocity Archives.

message 220: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod
I plan to do both too, so it doesn't matter, I guess! Mark if you do Atrocity, and MEgan do Gravity and I can just worry about the nominations!

I nominate myself to do next month's At the Mountains of Madness! I love that one and am eager to read it (for a third time).

message 224: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
I'm willing to push on with the rest of the Effinger trilogy. :)

message 225: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod
if anyone wants a month off, I plan to read both....

message 226: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
Up to you! I'll be reading the Effinger regardless, but if you want to moderate it, that's fine by me. :)

message 227: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod
nah, if you started the series, go ahead...I just feel guilty taking the month off!

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
No worries! Breathe easy for a month. :)

message 229: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
So, my library system, which frequently drives me crazy, has had the first two Effinger books, but not the third part of the trilogy. Aargh1

I can either moderate the Exile Kiss while trying (but possibly failing) to find a copy, or you can take it, Maggie. Up to you.

*mutters to herself about the cruelty of getting the first two of a trilogy and not the third*

I can do that-no problem :)

message 231: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
I have a copy of that one, so I can do it if you don't want to, mark!

message 232: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
What folder should the Pandora's Star thread go? Should I create a new one for member picks?

message 233: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod
That's probably a good idea!

message 237: by Megan (new)

Megan Baxter | 277 comments Mod
For once, both books for next month are in my library. (Someone has Use of Weapons out, but hopefully not for long.) So I could take either.

message 238: by Maggie, space cruisin' for a bruisin' (new)

Maggie K | 1287 comments Mod

Just started a new job, so I've been not tracking much for the last week. Is it Pattern Recognition as the second book in November? Maggie, do you want me to take it, or do you want to? (I can also get the Banks, but I've so behind on that series.)
