I'm reading the complete short stories of oscar wilde. and even though i'm totally into it it's taking me absolutely forever to get through such a small book. D; oh, life.

if you just click on 'general' or the 'showing 5 of 36' it shows them all lol. it's just only the top 5 most recent activity show on front page.

Just started The Redbreast.

Has anyone else read any of Jo Nesbo's books? This is my first one.

No, not yet. I've The Redbreast and a couple of other ones of his on my TBR pile but I haven't gotten around to them yet. I'll be interested to know what you're thinking.

At the moment I'm reading: The Black Prince. I'm about a 150 pages into it and enjoying it so far, although hating the main character (which you're kind of supposed to, so it's fine).

Also for a light read in between: Jude: Level 1, only just started but had a few laughs out of it already so that's a good sign.

Not yet, but am looking forward to them at some stage. I'm into audiobooks and the first two aren't available ... yet, I keep hoping. And, yes, I must read them in order!

Finished End of the Jews by Adam Mansbach which was very good.

Few pages into When God was a Rabbit by Sarah Winman and it's already seeming epic. ;D

The Gods of War. Really enjoyed the series, but this fourth book is too slow and I'm finding it a little boring. Disappointing end to a good series.

Just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Societyand will have to say this is one of the times when "dont judge a book by its cover" comes into play, loved this novel about the occupation of Guernsey by the Germans during the Second World war. A Great story sad and funny at the same time.

I'm listening to Cutting for Stone (jury is still out) and have just finished reading Still Alice which I loved and makes me want to do some thing with people who have early onset alzehimers.

Yeah I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the others in the series. I also mentioned his books to my real life reading group ( we meet at the Wexford Library) and they are all going to give him a go.

It was full of twists and turns and not until the very end did I guess where it was going.

Right now on A Trip to the Stars by Nicholas Christopher. The man's knowledge of the natural world and how he ties it to the mythological is overwhelming, although sometimes his character seem a little airbrushed (which might be intentional).

Im reading The Outcast at the moment. It sounds contradictory but its one of those OK ish books you cant put down.

No, I get it. It's compulsive to read, but you aren't sure why. You just want to see how it ends.

I'm just finishing by Eduardo Mendoza (in English translation that's ) and I am really enjoying it, makes me want to read some more by him.

The book is set in Barcelona, action spanning from 1887 to 1929; kind of a rags to riches story with an unscrupulous and fairly despicable main character (in case anyone wondered, I love me some despicable characters but if you're looking for a protagonist that you want to identify with or cheer for, that's probably not your type of a book). Big bonus for me is the abundance of interesting historical information weaved into the novel. Well worth a read.
