Oh man, I wasn't able to go on last night & have a lot of catching up to do!

message 1502: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay Fiona: McDonalds-Yuck. I can't believe they made it around the world.

Happy Hour actually started in Bars & Pubs and they usually did discounted drinks around 6ish. A lot of restraunts now do discounted food at happy hour.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Fiona, did you eat beans or something? trying to find the connection with the beans....

message 1514: by Jeane (new)

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I love beans too but not the ones in tomato sauce. But all other kinds, especially the ones they eat a lot in Italy...

Enjoy everybody!!! will try to peek on the site tomorrow evening:-)

message 1517: by [deleted user] (new)

Have a good trip Jeane. Talk to you soon, once you get settled.

I don't like beans. Sorry.

Love Cheese.

message 1518: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay I hope your talking about the same melted cheese that I love. We make these sandwiches in the microwave that we call melted cheese. We puts tons of cheese (works with any kind) ontop of a piece of bread in the micro for 45 seconds then eat! Oh yummy!

message 1519: by [deleted user] (new)

So are potato waffles potato's cut in a waffle shape? If so we call them waffle fries! Very good.

Plus doctors are slow and you have to wait in the waiting room for hours unless your the first appointment of the day.

message 1520: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't you hate that. If you don't give 24 hours they charge you anyway.

I also want to know who the woman at work is that pee's on the toilet every day. It needs to stop it's so gross! how hard is it to get the pee in the toilet???????????

message 1521: by [deleted user] (new)

Today they left there monthly visitor w/pee. Several Women in the office want to find the person!

message 1522: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) YUK! Time to bring back Fiona's famous words of wisdom....

"Please place poo in toilet as well. Not on. "

Somebody make me stop!!!

message 1523: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) When is your Dr appt., tomorrow Fiona? Well it can't be today, since it's 11:30pm your time.

message 1524: by [deleted user] (new)

I would need to change it to "place period in toilet not on it!"

Look Laura, we are at it again. Scarin' off the men! I am super good at that!

message 1525: by [deleted user] (new)

Fiona is probably making supernoodle right now! I bet she'll be back in a minute.

message 1526: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) OK - Just got on for the first time today (this never happens!). Gotta get off soon tho, and make dinner for me and my daughter. Chicken salads complete with smoked almond slivers and shaved parmesan CHEESE - YUM!

message 1527: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Guess we shouldn't go from toilet seats to food and back, but that woman at your office is so YUK! Do they know who's doing it Emilee?

message 1528: by [deleted user] (new)

That sounds good. I actually need to get off to run my daughter out then come back & do a late dinner for the kids. But will return in a few hours.

Fiona, don't go to bed on us!!!!!!!!

message 1529: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hi Fiona! How's your eye and RD?

message 1530: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Sorry. Just can't wait for you to read the others. You did say G first, right? Cause I'm getting ready to read Book Thief, and I'd like to read PS while you're reading it.

message 1531: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) PS - Shame you can't play an audio book while you're walking!

message 1532: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I hope you love it Fiona! You won't be put off if it takes you about 20 pages to get into will you?

PS - Have you robbed the biscuit tin yet?

PSS-What's a biscuit tin??

:)

message 1533: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) HMC - That's YA fantasy, right?

message 1534: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) is HMC YA Fantasy?

message 1535: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I'm thinking your biscuits = our crackers.

They're not cookies, right? Not sweet? Then I'm thinking crackers.

*yelling*: is Howls Moving Castle YA fantasy?

I think your eyes are falling asleep Fiona!

*blinks*

*refreshes screen*

message 1536: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Biscuits here are kind of like rolls, but denser. More like cake texture but a roll taste (not sweet).

message 1537: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Oops. Shit. Sorry.

:(

OK so our biscuits do not = your biscuits, right?

message 1538: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) OK, so I think your biscuits = our cookies. Which explains you robbing the biscuit tin. I wouldn't rob the cracker tin or biscuit tin here, unless I had c.c. for crackers or real butter for the biscuits!

If we ever met, we'd almost be learning a new language just to talk back & forth! I like it though, learning more about your country, since I would still like to move there or at least visit.

You hardly ever get snow, tho, right? No snow for Cmas?

message 1539: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) We don't drink tea like you do. I only have had it when I needed to fall asleep (and it didn't work for me, so end of that.)

I wonder if melba toast would be = to your digestive biscuits?? Not sure. I don't think we have dig. biscs.

message 1540: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Our biscuits are usually round, like about 4" across, and are about 1 or 2" high. And kind of dense like cakes, but taste like rolls. Good w/butter.

message 1541: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) They'd like to do that here too (for snow).

So our biscuits = your _________ what?

message 1542: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) That's it! Exactly! Do you have our biscuits?

message 1543: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) OK - this might sound dumb. What's the difference between England and Great Britain? Does G.B. include Ireland too? (I'm really bad w/geography, the worst. And history too.)

message 1544: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Oh no, scones are SO much better than biscuits. I love scones! Biscuits don't really have a taste, even tho I love the texture. They taste bland, but are good w/butter!

message 1545: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) OK clotted cream. What is this? Is it sweet?

message 1546: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Hmm......so almost like a combination of cream and cream cheese?

message 1547: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Wait - do you have cream cheese?

*rethinking the whole moving to England thought*

*cursing*

message 1548: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) Yes! and it's usually white. Made by Kraft. Do you have Kraft cream cheese?

*crosses fingers*

message 1549: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) That's it! Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

*breathes serious sigh of relief*

*breathe...it's okay....breathe...*

message 1550: by Laura (new)

Laura (apenandzen) I have to go fix food for my dau. Fiona!

Good luck w/your RD and your eyes, and your appt. tomorrow too!
