Fiona,That's so funny! I definitely work best under pressure. If a paper is due at midnight I won't even start it until 8 or 9 the evening it is due! Some of my best work has happened that way!
That sounds so good! I made a sour cream coffee cake (didn't have sour cream, so used plain yogurt and light mayonnaise instead), and it turned out so good! I could eat that all day. Haven't even been craving c.c. lately.
I come back & now I'm hungry reading all the threads. I have chocolates. Okay why am I always so hungry?
I just got back from church and there were sooooo many posts. I love the new name of this thread... lol
I went through the Sonic drive through and only had enough cash for the 3 men in my life:(Nothing for me...
Pfffff.....After reasing all the posts I feel soooo tired now.... We just had visits the whole day, still now...so now computer almsot today. Tomorrow either becasue I am not home...And jesus my belly!!!!!!!! If it wouldn't be a pill I would take that one you have been talking about, the one of four tiems a year...but I don't want to take pills if it isn't needed, really needed.
I couldn't eat much and it was all such a good food, last time before leaving wednesday....will miss the delicious home cooked italian food!
And was so stupid to help finish a puzzle but of course didn't read that way and need to finish it before tuesday evening.....
For the next four or five days you should all have computer problems!!!!
sorry Sadester, like most know here wednesday I am moving to Dublin so the next days I won't be much on here and I won't be either probably when I get there. So certain 3 to 4 girls around ehre who know who I am talking about should be ....well not post a thing!!!!So much whishful thinking this is.....
I missed happy hour. I love their cream pie shakes. I am going to make my hubby go and get me one later. Yummy...I lived in England from 1970-1974 when my Dad was in the Navy. We never made it to Ireland, but I wish we could have went.
I don't usually visit postsecret.com, but love the books. They are fascinating!Anything I find in library books just really intrigues me for some reason. even if it was only their receipt for what else they checked out. Sometimes I use it for book recs!
Are you reading something else that takes place in Russia, Fiona? Where did I get a Russia feeling from you? Or is it just my insomnia talking (again).
That's where I got it....okay, thought maybe I was losing (even more) touch with reality there.... So Guernsey on Tuesday???:)
:)
Sadester,Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's a television show that used to be on the WB...It was pretty popular for a while and there was even a cheesy movie the show was based off of. It starred Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Fiona,I agree with you! I love that show. I actually own all the DVD's...I think after this discussion I may have to go watch them again.
If you want a good show series that has a lot to do with books (I have a list from that show alone) you should try to check out the "Gilmore Girls"
Jeane: hopefully you won't miss too many posts!
Cute post-it link Fiona. I so want to do that!
Fiona: how is Red Dust. I wonder if I should add it to my TBR list!
I think the Buffy show was better then the movie! I think that I am again typing to myself.
So, I think no one is online. Therefore, I will have an ice cream reading break.
I like the postit note. Maybe I will put one in all the books I sell. What could I write on them to make people smile (and buy more books)? Any ideas?
Hi Fiona,Thought I'd check this thread out after seeing it mention in another thread. May I ask what country you're in? I'm im Missouri it's only 8:43 p.m here. But I'm a night owl might be 3-5 a.m before I go to sleep lol
Fiona lives in the UKBut she is up even longer than me sometimes.
I'm in NC
By the Way Fiona, Great Eye
Emilee, if you manage to have Fiona her internet dead or whateer for some days, I might manage better.Fiona, we will have internet immediately, normally but:
won't be home much in the beginning and while now I use the normal pc and my boyfriend his laptop, thee we will use his laptop in two. the problem is that I can do many other things than being busy on the internet. Him: playing computer games, watch tv and that's it. So will have to be nice about using time on it:-)
sadester, yes till wednesday I live in Italy...then to Dublin.
Jeane: Fiona, laura & I will have to take it easy. Good thing it's monday I have to work in the day.
Good Luck on the move.
Fiona: I'm adding it. I need to live to be 85 or older. I better stop eating junk food! Like that would ever happen.

Awakeness sucks....need coffee...I did finally finish my paper yesterday! Woohoo! Now I am a day ahead so I can goof around all day if I want!
*throws plump, juicy chipmunk to snowy owl*Congrats, Maranda! I wish I was where you were...I should be getting some work done today.
:(
Glad you're enjoying Red Dust, Fiona. Anytime a book gets a hug, it's a good book. Hmm, have to add that one to my TBR!
How much do I have to know about S. African politics/govt. etc (cuz I know nada) in order to like the book?
I love that, Fiona!LOL
*hides it*
If I could just *hide* GR I might be getting something done here!
Think of it this way, the quicker you finish RD, the quicker you can start G.
I'm so bored I'm hanging on to HP's chat line looking for reformat info and I've been on for seventeen minutes and got nowhere. I've never had much luck with help lines so I don't know why I bother.
Poor sadester....we are making it crazy don't we. Just hang on and keep asking whatever you don't know!Hey everybody, tomorrow i should be home the whole day and as I am practically ready for the move but my boyfriend didn't even start: time for TNBBC!!!!!!! But not late in the eving because I need my sleep and we leave from ehre at 4.30 a.m.!!!!!
They should forbid that!
I thought happy hour was about pubs having between certain hours that when you ask one drink you get a second one for free...that's how it works in belgium....
Fiona, without me saying anything he came in te room and told me he promises to prepare his bag tomorrow during the day. I told him he can do it whenever he wants but I am ready to leave wednesday morning!Fiona, that means I will probably only ready your posts after that a little bit and then in
Dublin!!!!!! Oh but...hehe, that means a day less of catching up of your posts, which is already a lot!!!! Thanks!
YAY Fiona! Way to go!I think I'm going to actually set reading goals for 2009, and I'd like to consult with Ken about planning out my non-fiction reading. He is so smart about things I need to be more smart about, and he doesn't mind writing long msgs., so I thought he'd be a good person to check with first.
Fiona what happened to your blue but evil eye avi? You changed fast!I started the chat with HP saying I wanted to reformat an old machine and didn't have the disks. 35 mins. later the stupid woman 'helping' me asks me if I've got the disks that came with the machine for the third time. No I told her yet again and she said I could repurchase XP for $150. Yeah right, on a four or five year old machine!
Harry Potter would have magickally reformatted the damn machine. btw There's nothing wrong with it, just runs too slow.
ok, so at one point in time I came across a thread where a person was looking for a book but didn't have the title/author, and someone replied that there was a group that specializes in figuring out what book it would be.... Anyone know what that group was? This short film just popped in my head and I'm almost positive it was a short story first. It may be a Jack London, but I could be totally off track.
I remember watching this film, way back in elementary school. There was no talking in it (I don't think) and it was about a guy who was stranded in a blizzard in the middle of nowhere. The whole thing was about his plight to stay alive. He had like one match and he couldn't get it lit. It's so weird, because I only remember a little bit about it, but his hands fumbling with that match is a vivid image in my head.
Anyone have any ideas?
Sounds like there would be a chorus of silly voices about now and it would turn into a Monty Python sketch.
