If you follow the B&N link, and then enter either of the ISBNs there, it takes you to a legitimate edition with cover art, so I'm not sure how this got here.
Anyway, it needs a superlibrarian to do it.
Well, that's the message I got. It wouldn't let me do it.
Oh, perhaps it was uncombined and I combined it. It's true, it takes a super to delete something if there's only one edition and someone has shelved it.
What's also weird is that it said I couldn't delete a book with 5 or more "reviews," but only one person had done anything with it (one of my friends put it on her to-read, which is how I noticed it.)
But you also can't delete the most popular edition of any book or a single edition of any book (uncombined) if anyone has either reviewed or or simply added it to their shelves.
There are 4 books on my Author Profile that don't exist (they were on Amazon long ago as short stories but all got combined into a collection called Skin Of Giants).It would be great if these 4 went away (since there are no actual eBooks on Amazon):

We do not delete out-of-print books, just as a library would not remove an out-of-print book from its shelves.

In fact, it looks like GRLibrarian http://www.goodreads.com/librarian/us... has been adding a bunch of short-story entries without ISBNs. If, as I suspect, this is not kosher, someone with more authority than I might want to thank her for her efforts and ask her to stop.

We don't deleted books because they are no longer available for sale, as there are people who have that book so it must be able to shelf the book.

R.M. an ebook can be purchased many places, Nook is a brand name of Barnes & Noble. As a librarian if I see Nook anywhere it gets changed to ebook.
Can't see where there'd be any confusion. You have a pb edition, a kindle edition and an ebook edition.
Those of us that use electronic books know the difference between kindles and ebooks.
