I usually "practice" mine in a thread, Oleander, but do NOT post it - just "preview" it. Then I "cut & paste" it to my status update. However, remember that the space is limited, so it will NOT take long ones.

.com will NOT work.

Then I copied the code that I wanted to use that I save in a note file, and now it works.
Maybe Goodreads was doing maintenance on the site, and was causing that thread not to allow image code to work at that time.
Don't you just hate it when your doing it the right way, and the technology make you think your wrong!
