Enjoy! Pat Conroy is probably my favorite author."

Pratchett is very good at what he does!

I loved her first three books which were all wrapped around the same characters. I'll be waiting to hear what you think of her newest release. I understand it's some of the same characters but not the same serial killer.

Yes some of the same characters. I ahve read about 2/3 so far and gretchen is not one of them. Its not as fast paced as the first 3 but so far is still a good read. I will give another update when I finsih.

South of Broad may be my favorite, too. That one really stuck with me.

I am about to begin

I'm really looking forward to that one!

:o)

I read your review and I remember seeing on M.'s blog that he wrote about that question you have :) Here is a link:

The other books I read of his are The Muse of Edouard Manet and Felinian. Feel free to read my reviews! :) I really loved them both!

I agree with you that the later books just arent as good. It seems as though she is just churning them out for xmas sales but i still love them and think she is a great writer.

I read this one earlier this year. This was my second attempt and I have to admit that the first time it was my own fault for not finishing it. I wasn't in the mood to read but a co-worker had loaned me the book and I tried to force myself to read it. I ended up returning the book but he insisted I keep it and read it when it was the right time. I'm so glad he did. Two years later I really enjoyed this book.

I loved that book

Reading it for Book Talk - it's superb! Also following the movie, part by part on You Tube.
Also The Homecoming of Samuel Lake

I just finished this book.
I will first like to give a review by my ten year old grand daughter followed by mine.
Danielle: I liked the book and it was filled with learning lesons on how people are afraid of animals and the animals have the same sense of fear towards them. The Gorilla had a magical cane that could be used against humans if they posed a threat. They enjoyed going to the party and to a festival and they played many games with the children and the parents because the people thought that they were dressed up in costumes. Based on my reading, at one to ten I give the book a seven or an eight.
Barbara: I thought that the book was great. The thought of seeing a gorilla driving a car and the many games that they played with the parents and children was interesting. The cane could only be used towards humans only if the humans was a threat towards them, that is why they were taken back to the zoo. Truly a great read.

Right now I'm reading The Cello Suites. As you can see my book choice is influenced greatly by my recent adventures with the cello. I started taking classes (at age 27) 3 months ago (and loving it so far) :)

Currently I'm re-reading A Christmas Carol, my favorite christmas story. I've also just started Dreamsayer
