How do you like Bloodroot? I've been wanting to read that one.

I'm about half way through and the story is very good. It's definitely about some hard-knock lives in Appalachia. I'm hoping there's a little redemption... I'll let you know what I think when I'm done!

Think recovered memory and abuse.

Am over half way thru Clockwork Angel"
I just started The Oracle of Stamboul and am really liking it, too. It's proving to be a very quick read, probably because of how much I'm liking it!
Finished re-reading The Likeness right before that... I thought I might have missed something the first time through. Still enjoyed it -- I really like Tana French!

Loved that one. In total agreement with you, definitely one of her better ones!

My absolute favourite JP book. If not one of my favourite books period. I hope you enjoy this too!

One of my favourite authors, Peter James; Possession.
Peony in Love.
Executioners

Thats an awesome one.."
I enjoyed it. It was a quick read. The only problem was that SK gave away the ending in the introduction.

The The Name of the Wind was a terrific book...just finished reading it the other day:) I have to start The Wise Man's Fear before I forget anything...wonder when the third book of the trilogy will be out?

Definitely. Although this ..."
Thanks so much, Petra! :) That helps a lot, I'll keep plugging away at it. :)

I had the same exact experience. The Fiery Cross was a bit slow and have had a hiatus prior to A Breath of Snow and Ashes which I still haven't read (but own and plan to read).

I just finished up The Paris Wife by Paula McLain, a fictional account of the marriage of Ernest Hemingway and his first wife, Hadley. They are both such flawed individuals, but the story is really interesting, particularly if you're a Hemingway fan.
I also recently read A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley. It's the third in the Flavia De Luce series. I'm not much of one for serialized fiction or for most mysteries, but these books are so charming and engaging.

Erin, The Tiger's Wife sounds really good. :) Let us know what you think when you're finished reading it.

You are making me jealous. I love to meet authors and Julie writes some great mysteries!
