oops, I meant Brave New World is what I ordered - is this good as well? (hope so).

High Noon, by Nora Roberts
The Scent of Sake, by Joyce Lebra
Certain Girls, by Jennifer Weiner

I read an "Advance Readers Copy" last year and found the book very enjoyable.

Alex, yes, it was just okay. Not as good as his other books that I've read so far. It gets better the second half of the book. I imagine it would be have been better watching the movie if it gets made into a movie :)

I think I have read all of her's but that one. I started reading her in junior high school.

I had to order a Kindle sample of this one, The Scent of Sake based on the timing. I just enjoyed a lovely bottle of Hakutsuru Sayuri sake last night with my incredible sushi/sashimi. The Amazon ratings/comments area bit mixed so I eagerly await yours.

I absolutely love Mary Stewart novels. I go way back some 20 odd years or so with reading her fiction novels. She is like an old friend that I love to catch up with from time to time.

I loved that too, but some people find it a little bit difficult to get through. I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

I like Nora Roberts trilogies when they deal with the paranormal or supernatural.Although this set was darker, more Stephen King like, than some of her other trilogies, I enjoyed it very much. My favorites of these type of trilogies deal with the three sisters on the island of the same name and the Irish tales with jewel names in them. Funny though I'm not crazy about her Eve Dallas series which she writes under a another name.( Yeah,I'd use another name too:)

This sounds really interesting. I just requested it from the library. I'm #116 in the queue.

I'm hoping we may end up reading Tinkers for a possible July pick (if under 200 page genre decided on??) as it's 192 pages.

I've never seen it but the people who guide all my scifi TV viewing recommend it.

Just finished a really really lovely book, The Lake Shore Limited. Beautifully written book about grief and relationships among a group of people who lost a loved one in 9/11.
Now I'm starting Anna Karenina. I'm having a hard time getting into it, because I just haven't had time to read more than a few pages at a time, and today won't give me much time either, but I'll keep plugging away.

I'm in. I would love to discuss Water for Elephants.

I've been so looking forward to reading this book I kept saving it until I realised there would never be a perfect time to start it.
I'm only a few chapters in but so far I am not disappointed.

Just finished The House of Night Series and now I am on book #2 of The Vampire Academy series ( which I am loving) I have also read The Sookie Stackhouse Series.. so any recs on what series to start next?

I will know today. Yesterday I got a bit sidetracked; my 2 year old managed to get a sequin in her eye (seriously, wtf) and we spent some time at Urgent Care. I guess those are the kinds of injuries I can expect with four daughters. :o) But I am reading it today and I'll let you know.
