Kiss of Snow is now showing 6/14/11, so it's already been moved up a bit. I'll hope for another nice surprise like Visions of Heat was, thanks for keeping us in the loop Cassandra.

Thanks for being so willing to keep us in the know, Cassandra. That is the bad thing about becoming accustomed to digital media and its instant availability - it hasn't done much to teach me patience.I had to go with the ebook for Ilona Andrews' Magic Slays but I am definitely waiting for Kiss of Snow in audiobook.
Just popping in to say that I just wrapped on JACOB, the first in the Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank...it releases later this month, I believe - hope those of you were were looking forward to this one enjoy it!On with GIDEON, which I'll start recording shortly.
Oh - and since it was also mentioned in this thread a ways back, the first in the Dreg City series, THREE DAYS TO DEAD just released today, and with Tantor's fabulous June Is Audiobook Month 50% off sale...
Cassandra I have a quick question, Tantor is showing the following as coming soon.Thea Harrison
Tantor selections by this author:
Elder Races Series
Dragon Bound, #1
Storm's Heart, #2
Serpent's Kiss, #3
There are dates given for #2 (September 2011)and #3 (October 2011) but not an ETA for #1. Will the first book, Dragon Bound release before the other two in the series?
I have another question for Tantor - I went to the website on the weekend and tried to search for releases by category but I couldn't find a "romance" category. Are there any plans to include this category? If it's already there, could you point me to it as I couldn't find it! thx :)
Question #1 - Yes, book one will release before the other two. I am told it will be July, but the specific date hasn't been uploaded to our system yet.Question #2 - I have put in a request to update the categories. Currently the only way to find the Romance category is to go to the bottom of a book in that category and click the direct link to Romance. Hopefully this shortcut will work for you:

As always, thank you Cassandra! I'm looking forward to the first Christine Warren that will be released later this month. I found out the various characters have several different accents, I love listening to good accents...
Not related to new releases. But for those of you that frequent a library we have just opened an essay contest. 300 word essay saying why your library should win 10 free audiobooks. We will select 10 winners in July.www.tantor.com/marketing/audiobookcon...
Cassie
PS I am slightly biased in pushing this contest to be successful because it was my brain baby :)

Cassandra wrote: "Thanks :) it's my roller derby uniform. We sorta look like rolling watermelons."Hey, do you know when The Fallen: Raziel is coming out?
Raziel is good to go for Wednesday, June 15. It actually looks like it may be up now on our site and at Audible.
Got it! Which is helpful, since I'm writing Book Three and it'll remind me of some of the deets about the earlier characters and the world-building.
Cassandra wrote: "Raziel is good to go for Wednesday, June 15. It actually looks like it may be up now on our site and at Audible."Thanks, Cassie-- I just got my copy so it'll be up on my site asap, and look for a giveaway soon guys!

Two hours left to enter in a drawing to win a copy of Raziel! Deadline is noon today PST. http://karenwhiteaudiobooks.com/2011/...
Too late I already downloaded Raziel. :) My favorite part of the book, when I read it, was Allie, her attitude and snarky humor. Plus the general sly humor found in the stories side comments. For me, you've captured Allie and the side humor perfectly with your part of the narration. Thanks!

This is a pretty new genre for me and I tried out a slightly new approach with the 1st person narration, so I am glad to hear it worked for you. I loved how she challenged the status quo of the world of the Fallen.
We received Raziel and Kiss of Snow for review yesterday. So hopefully we'll have reviews of both up soon at Speaking of Audiobooks
I finished listening to Raziel a few days ago and I've posted my review on Goodreads - I liked Karen's narration quite a bit but Paul Costanzo's was a bit disappointing for me - not enough emotion. I'm hoping I will get into it more in book 2.
You nailed it Kaetrin, robotic is the term that keeps coming to my mind when Paul Costanzo gets a turn. I'm halfway through and very glad the female POV is the most prominent!
Ooo - just heard from Tantor (over on Twitter) that the 50% off sale they are running through June in honor of JIAM is good on pre-orders too. I know folks said this before, but somehow it just didn't register for me. The cool part? This means that if you have a favorite series and know you'll want all the books in it, you can order all of them at 50% from Tantor, even if they don't release for months.
Sure, as the narrator of a six-book series, I'm personally excited about this...but there are so many series that SOA members are looking forward to - this might be the perfect way to score them at a great price, and save Audible credits for other titles.

We have just acquired Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians series and Maya Banks's Heat series. Also just picked up book ten (Courting Darkness) in Yasmine Galenorn's Otherworld series.
I just discovered that Tantor has a narration sample for each narrator on the "Narrators" page. Handy! Unfortunately, the one I was looking for, Sophie Eastlake, isn't up yet. I've heard lots of raves for Thea Harrison's Elder Races series so I'm interested in how the audios turn out.
I am too MaryK, looks like Sophie Eastlake is a newbie narrator, I couldn't find anything about her other than her bio at Tantor. Cassie Tantor is grabbing up some great books! I'd recently gotten this opinion of Dianne Duvall from someone who's recommendations are usually solid for me. So I'll be interested in trying her out...
"I liked this book a lot. The world building was enjoyable. I enjoyed the side characters a lot. Roland, the H, was a tiny bit bland but I liked him. The resolution of the main plot was interesting and I hadn't seen it coming. I want to read more about Seth and David and the others so, all in all, it was fun.
Caressed By Ice is up at Audible this morning if you search by Nalini Singh.I've had to adjust my expectations of the narration in comparison with what I've heard Angela Dawe do with Brockman's Infamous (she was totally awesome with that book) and some other audios but I'm still enjoying the series very much.
I'm downloading Carressed by Ice now because I just can't resist.Cassandra, I mean this in the most constructive way. The new Tantor covers for the series are burning my eyeballs. The models look like they just came from a torturous session at the Chanel makeup counter and isn't in keeping with the characters. Photoshopped tattoos are far from convincing and I am sorry to say that the overall cover look is porny.
Oh yeah. Carressed by Ice is one of the best in the series. I'm sure that Brenna didn't drag a suitcase full of makeup to the cabin in the woods. Judd is Psy living with the wolf pack so leopard tats are so not a good idea. :)
I mentioned all of this to them as soon as I saw the cover for CbI, unfortunately it was too late. I did however pass along a link I found that gives character background and info. Hopefully that will help with character layout on covers.
Diana wrote: "Judd is Psy living with the wolf pack so leopard tats are so not a good idea. :) "ROFL! You're so right! I didn't even notice that. Brenna's the changeling, and she's wolf not leopard anyway.

This is hilarious!
Cassandra, thanks for listening and being such a good sport!Caressed by Ice has moved into my #1 spot in the audio series. This one made me smile and sigh.

So true. I was quite annoyed that Kiss of Snow's cover had a model that didn't have Sienna's characteristics at all.
THE FALLEN: DEMON by Kristina Douglas (narrated by me!) is now available at Tantor - 50% off for the rest of June. I really loved this story as it so intelligently explored the Lilith myth as well as delivered some excellent romance. Listen to a sample here, and keep eyes peeled for a giveaway to happen later this week!http://karenwhiteaudiobooks.com/2011/...
Kristina / Anne lucked out with her audiobook covers for Raziel and Demon!Especially when you consider the eye popping Singh cover's. :D
Now available! All titles are up on audible too.(Geez I didn't realize the list was so long when I started typing...)
-Lara Adrian's "Deeper Than Midnight" read by Hillary Huber
-Alyssa Day's "Atlantis Unleashed" read by Joshua Swanson
-Christina Henry's "Black Wings" read by Coleen Marlo
-Cynthia Eden's "Deadly Heat" read by Justine Eyre
-Kristina Douglas's "Demon" read by Karen White & Paul Costanzo
-Ilona Andrews, Yasmine Galenorn, Allyson James, Jeanne C. Stein's "Hexed" read by Cassandra Campbell and Renée Raudman
-Karen Chance's "Hunt the Moon" read by Cynthia Holloway
-Jacquelyn Frank's "Jacob" read by Xe Sands
-Jacqueline Carey's "Naamah's Blessing" read by Anne Flosnik
-Michelle Rowen's "Nightshade" read by Cynthia Holloway
-Christina Warren's "Wolf at the Door" and "She's No Faerie Princess" read by Kate Reading
Wow, so many interesting books! I've had an Audible subscription since they started up but I just recently started listening to Romance and UF on audio. I feel like I may never catch up!
We have many of these out for review - both of the Kristina Douglas books, Frank's Jacob, Warren's Wolf at the Door and She's No Faerie Princess, Eden's Deadly Heat and Deadly Fear, the latest Ilona Andrews, the first of Alyssa Day's Atlantis Rising and Stuart's Shameless - plus more!
I finished the audio for Wolf at the Doorthis weekend..Kate Reading did a good job with the narrationI also listened to Deadly Fear and Magic Slays....for Deadly Fear it was hard not to hear Elena from the Guild Hunters at first but Justine Eyre did a good job with the book
Lea's Audiobooks wrote: "We have many of these out for review - both of the Kristina Douglas books, Frank's Jacob, Warren's Wolf at the Door and She's No Faerie Princess, Eden's Deadly Heat and Deadly Fear, the latest Ilon..."Wow! That is quite the list of upcoming reviews to look forward to :)
Cassandra I wanted to say Kudo's to Tantor for the audiobook cover of Dragon Bound!
It's better than the original. :)I figure if we can harass you about the awful ones we better mention the good ones too. :D
The first two Nightwalker covers are nice and I like the Christine Warren covers too. They go well with the lightness of the story lines in The Others series.
I listened to all 3 of Cythnia Eden's Deadly series. I agree it took me a little while to get Elena out of my head. I thought Deadly Fear was just OK (story-wise) but REALLY enjoyed the next 2 books of the series.I really enjoyed the first book of the Others by Christine Warren and thought Kate Reading did a nice job.
I enjoyed Jacob better in audio format than I did when I read it. Kudos to Xe!
Waiting for next Psy-Changling book! I look at them more like the BDB audio's in terms of using different voices. After getting past initial disappointment when the narration not being as dynamic as I expected from Angela Dawe, I'm able to appreciate some of the subtle (sometimes VERY subtle) inflections in the reading. I enjoy having these books in audio!
