Iida-Maija wrote: "I just finished reading Pet Sematary, and today I'll start reading Gone With The Wind!"I love(!!) GWTW! I truly think it's one of the best 5 books ever written, extremely worth every minute of your time, and I hope you'd like it as much as I did as well.
I am currently reading The Thorn Birds, a highly recommended family saga, beautiful so far! Rory didn't read that, though.
Kristen wrote: "I am reading 11/22/63by Stephen King"How is he? He sounds like an incredible author!
Stephen King is great! I have read a bunch of his stuff. This one isn't actually a horror novel like most of his other works, it is about traveling back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination.
I've finished reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith this morning. I try to read at least one classic per month so this month I've decided to read The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper.
I'm reading currently both The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories, Volume I
I'm reading A Game of Thrones at the moment, I also just started reading Gone With the Wind and The Egyptian by Finnish author Mika Waltari. I'm reading A Game of Thrones in English and the other two books in Finnish (my native). I reeeaaaallly love A Game of Thrones! Amazing book!
I'm trying to read Jane Eyre by Friday, when I'm supposed to start Possession and Light in August. I'm not sure I'll make it (I probably won't) but it will be fun to try.

I love William Faulkner, and Jane Austen I truly hope to love. ENJOY
I've never read Jane Eyre before. I'm trying to get back in the habit of reading more classics, so I decided to dive in with that one. Faulkner is one of my favorites, so I'm excited to read another of his books for the first time.
I've finished reading The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper yesterday. Now I'm reading Visions of Sugar Plums by Janet Evanovich.
Lori, this group has read Jane Eyre before, so if you like you can check out the old threads in the Rory Book Discussions folder. The discussion was broken down into several parts (chapters 1-4, 6-10, etc) so you can adjust with how far ahead you are in the book.
I'm sort of split between too many books right now. Infinite Jest- DFW
Game of Thrones- George R.R. Martin
and tonight , in keeping with the RG list, I'm going to start Lord of the Flies- WIlliam Golding.

I think Game of Thrones is pretty great! I even wrote a raving review about it. I hope you'd enjoy it.
Just finished The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck and now I'm moving on to The Beautiful and the Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Danna wrote: "I think Game of Thrones is pretty great! I even wrote a raving review about it." I was hesitant to start it for a long time (everyone in my family has read it years ago), but I'm really enjoying it so far. :)
Is everyone reading their above mentioned books along with Crime & Punishment? If so where do you find the time?????
I'm just getting into Bel Canto by Ann Patchett.
. This was recommended to me by my older sister. I'm taking a break from what I mostly read--YA books--and reading this which is really good.

I liked the 1st and the 4th, they were nice!
But honestly, I am a bit tired and a bit sick of Harry Potter... All the fuss about it. I suppose that if they hadn't made the movies - I would have still liked it... What do you think?

I've just started to read The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell, have any of you already read and is willing to tell me something about it? Because, I'm in the beginning yet, but i've been finding it a bit slow...

I'm really regretting buying the whole trilogy now because I know now that I'll probably never read them. There was a buy 2 get 1 free offer on the series so I couldn't resist. When will I ever learn???
