What are you reading at the moment?
Just started reading To Rise Again At A Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris, so far so good. I am really liking the parts with dialogue, they feel very natural and not overdone. Also, Im reading One plus One by Jojo Moyes. I haven't gotten very far, but I like what I've read so far.
I'm going to begin with "Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock" by Matthew Quick tomorrow. Has anyone of you already read it?
Currently reading Son of a Witch - Gregory Maguire and The Female Brain - Louann Brizendine, M.D. :) I'm a neuroscience nerd!
Currently reading The BFG by Roald Dahl. I think Rory Gilmore would've enjoyed this a lot as a child.
I'm reading "Between Shades Of Gray" and then I'll be going on to "Eat, Pray, Love" and then "The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year"
I just finished Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress and really enjoyed it! I probably wouldn't have picked it up if it wasn't on the list, so I'm happy! I'm also finishing up with Infinite Jest Which has been a great experience.
I am reading And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. So far it is really good. I enjoyed his other works, A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner very much. He never fails to make me cry and feel so grateful at the same time.
Hello! :D I am currently reading "Bad Science" by Ben Goldacre and "Anna Karenina" by Tolstói. I am a big science geek so I am lovin' Bad Science. I suck at reading classics but I gave them another shot with Anna Karenina and let me tell you that I am having a great time with it! It is really easy to read (so far hehe).
Hi!! I'm reading Living to Tell the Tale by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Spanish version) and Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets for the second time. Greetings people!
Currently reading: The Count of Monte CristoGreat read; just quite long!
Hoorah for epic revenge tales.
Just finished Gone Girl & If I Stay. About to start one from my Rory list. Thinking maybe The Dirt since it arrived the other day. Although I think I may have only heard one Motle Crue song before.
I'm about halfway through Ghostwritten by David Mitchell and I'm listening to The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe - only a couple of hours left!
November 26,20014To whom may concern:
I am currently reading The Bride of Lammermoor by Sir. Walter Scott.
Best regards.
Just about half way through As I lay dying and Yipes I am lost! Any other brave souls get lost in this book?
It's been ages since I read that one, so I've forgotten a lot of the details, though never will I ever forget the chapter from the point of view of the little boy, "My Mother is a Fish" - I think I used that for the topic of an essay on the book. The shifting perspectives is hard as is the kind of narration some of them give.
Rebecka wrote: "The Scarlet Letter I think it was supposed to be this months challenge book. Or am I wrong?"You're right! I'm reading that one tooooo! :)
Bobbie wrote: "I really enjoyed that book! Read it twice now over the years."Not a fan of "The Custom-House", but it does seem to have picked up a lot!
