He's a handsome horse, Bun. And probably way cheaper in terms of upkeep than Apricot the hay-vac.

Thanks! Heidi, you can call me whatever you want. Do what you need to do. We call my aunt "Heideleh" sometimes. You need to have had a Yiddish speaking grandmother to get away with that, I think.

Sarah's away for the weekend. I picture here, 8:33AM, waking up drunk in a guitar shop, the alarm blaring, the windows broken, and the police standing over her saying, "Um, m'am, you want to explain that brick in your hand?"
Didn't need to do that 'cause Zu BUILT ME A NEW ELECTRIC GUITAR. Pictures soon, I promise. I had a wonderful weekend. Apparently they've got new cell towers in WV cause there was actual signal, but I turned off my phone and pretended there wasn't.
We ate my aunt's incredible chocolate cake, drank lots of red wine, played music & board games, went for hikes. It was awesome.
Sounds fun Sarah, looking forward to the pictures.

And nope, way nicer than lumber. It just needed a lot of re-wiring, and she didn't get the bridge placement quite right, so the luthier adjusted all that. There's another piece of wood sitting upstairs waiting to be guitarified. It's a butcher block, and it's going to weigh nine thousand pounds.
my son had a friend in middle/high school who used to come over to jam with cameron and some of his friends. he was really shy and quiet and younger than the rest of the boys. while the guys were all setting up in the garage with their telecasters and strat copies this kid shows up with a homemade guitar. it was not even really shaped. just like a 2x10 that had been hacked into a guitar with a cheap neck added and some hack electronics. at the time they were all into allman bros and when they launched into blue sky this kid starts to wail on this slab of guitar. he always just tore it up. now he is a professional musician with a group called the illegitimate sons.
