Give Me 5 has not been kind to me, as my last post got skipped too. :) I finished Demonglass, and had to start reading something so I went back and changed out the book I started reading.

Also following rules is hard, since now I want to pick for Lisa.

hey jessica, the only one of yours i've read is wither, it's good! i also have entwined in my tbr list, but haven't started it yet.

Heidi Poor Jessica!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments This looks like such fun! Unfortunately, I haven't read any of Catie's 5, but I'll be checking back tomorrow afternoon.....

message 155: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I finished up A Northern Light which Catie picked for me. I thought it was good, but I didn't like it as much as Revolution by the same author. I thought the murder would take a more central place in the story, but it really didn't. The story shifts between two different times, but they are only a month or so apart, and eventually the story gets to a place where the backstory meets up with the present day.

Also I'm going to pick Graceling for Lisa, because I think her list got lost in the shuffle. Lisa, I really love Graceling, it's one of my favorites, so I hope you enjoy it.

The next poster should pick for Catie still. I'm not going to post a new five, because I'm going out of town tomorrow and won't have my computer with me.

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments OK then - I'll go ahead and pick...... Into the Wild Nerd Yonder by Julie Halpern

I got started on this one today. Probably be up half the night..... I was sorta in a book funk. Not really that into the one I was in the middle of, but it was an author I really like, so I wanted to finish it. I'll be looking for someone to pick for tomorrow night......

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments Someone needs to pick for Jan! I haven't read any of them yet. I wish I could help. I have read the Uglies series by Westerfeld though and enjoyed it if that helps. :)

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments I haven't read any of them either.....and I'm ready to post my next 5.

Headed out to the grocery store. If no one else has picked by tonight, I may just bite the bullet and do it myself! I say go for it Awesomevegan. I love this thread. I always read more when I "need" to read it.

message 180: by Becca (last edited May 28, 2011 08:51AM) (new)

Becca | 1608 comments I'll pick for Jan. Although I really like Leviathan and think you should definitely read it at some point, I loved The Thief (The Queen's Thief, #1) by Megan Whalen Turner more, so I pick that one. Gen is one of my favorite characters. Enjoy!

message 182: by Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (last edited May 28, 2011 09:51AM) (new)

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments The only one I have read of those is Jane Eyre. It took a long while for me to get through because I am not used to classics but if you like classics it is worth the read since it is also inspiration for lots of modern authors. (Like Stephenie Meyer) Also the movie is out or coming out so I will choose that for you. :)
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

My 5 are:
Sisters Red (Sisters Red, #1) by Jackson Pearce XVI by Julia Karr An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness

(I will start the chosen book after I finish my current read If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman which is under 300 pages and so good so far it will probably be done tomorrow. :-P[

Hahaha, well it's definitely not 'crap'. I have met a few people who thought that it was too descriptive for their tastes. There are a few scenes that are shocking, but it's definitely well written and not crap.

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 44 comments I finished Airborne today. It's the book I won here. Constance is a member here and seems to be a super nice lady. Really enjoyed the book, and I did write a review. If you read it, ya'll will understand why I read, not write! LOL

Somebody still needs to pick for Kayla. I love this thread! It's so much fun seeing what is upcoming for everyone.
