Katy (katyas-69) | 603 comments Hey, Vered - there's a topic where you can post your twitter username and another where you can post a blog (if you have one) for everyone to be able to find it. Definitely add yours there. I don't have twitter, but I did add my livejournal blog there.

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Oh dear...sorry Phil, I really didn't meant to offend you. Shall I go back and delete it? Sometimes my efforts at silly repartee go awry, but it wasn't meant to be horrid and I apologise totally if it came across as such.

I'm not offended, JA -- sorry if I gave you that impression. I'll have to learn to use those acronyms everybody seems to think necessary these days. Now if only I knew what they all mean....

message 640: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Phew! No worries then, only I had a bit of an inept day yesterday and said the wrong thing on all occasions so it wouldn't have surprised me at all if that had been a continuation thereof.

And then I started wondering if it was slang for something I didn't know about in Aussie and I'd just called you something REALLY rude! Had my brain working, I can tell you!
heheheh

Phil, we can open a new topic in a folder for you with all of the acronyms - it may even help me out. I have had to look a few of them up because...sshhhhh....I'm really behind the times. But that is just between you and me, ok?

:)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments HAhahaha Splitter, I haven't even read it yet but I suspect he'd move in on the prettiest girl in the shortest skirt and ask if she needed another drink...

Someone suggested a more English version of LOL would be TAB - Titters A Bit....

message 647: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Farwell (jenniferfarwell) | 4 comments Hi everyone! My name is Jenn, although the post will say "J.F." :) I saw that this group is also for authors, so will be reading through the author threads next. I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you! It looks like I have many posts to catch up on.

I do have a mostly-writing-related blog (but not a book review blog) called Confessions of a Wordsmith at http://www.jfkristin.com/blog.

I recently released a novel titled Rock Star's Girl and have a blog tour coming up that's starting on the 19th. I'm always looking for and VERY grateful to anyone who wants to review! (So I will go to the appropriate thread for that.)

Good to be here!

that would really help ME as well! Sometimes your acronyms baffle me! :-D

message 650: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments ooooh hello - we have another Jenn, people! Jenn, we have a few Jenns already so being JF in posts will at least mean that bears of little brain such as myself don't confuse you for any of the others.... It's a fun group though, and if you're after reviews, check out the threads lower down. It's worth posting one for your book, but also checking out the reviewers' threads and seeing which your book seems relevant to, as you'll get more for the asking than will volunteer!
