Somehow I don't see a conflict between those two beliefs.
But back to Jude, I've been struggling to read all of these posts and trace the line of thought.
Pig killing or no pig killing, he doesn't strike me as amoral at all. Quite the contrary. He agonizes over all of his moral choices, like marrying Arabella.
Can anyone point me back to the post number where the original "Jude-is-amoral" argument was made?
