Getting to know people in your group is always a plus!
I'll start first, feel free to introduce yourselves as well so that I'm not the only (cool) dork doing this. :)
Name: Erika Terada
Favorite book, author, or genre: At the moment I really like anything to do with fairy tales.
Something cool about yourself: I was born in Tokyo, Japan, but moved to the USA when i was 2. And since then I've moved all over California and I now reside in Oregon.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, music, eating, watching tv, playing x-box, volleyball, shopping, and being my totally weird, hyper, moody, and amazing self. :)
Other: I'm a Scorpio, and I wouldn't be able to tell if someone was hitting on me if he hit me on the head with a large wooden board... hehe.

Favorite book, author, or genre....Well... I don't really have one. If I read a book, and its good, then I like it. If its not good, then I don't. Simple.
Something cool about me: well, I've never been outside of the state of oregon for more than a day... Oh wait! Thats not cool, thats just depressing!! Something else then... I love to write. i write whenever I can (when I'm not reading that is) and I've actually won a couple of awards for some of my material. I write fanfictions and goofy short stories a lot for practice, and I'm also working on an original story, that I hope to get published after I finish it. So heres to keeping your fingers crossed! :)
Hobbies: well, writing obviously, practicing my flute, reading tarrot, and sometimes I have these wierd desires to exercise a lot. Like I'm getting ready to compete in the olympics or something... O_O It truly boggles the mind. I know my mind is boggled. Other thatn that, I'm pretty lazy!
Other: well, since erika did her astrological sign, I'll do mine too. I'm a Taurus, but I couldn't dislike cows anymore if I tried. And thats enough about me for now. who wants to go next?

Ok, I guess I will write a little bit about myself as well :) My name is Emily. I read a lot... obviously... and I read really fast, a trait I inherited from my mother.
Favorite book: That depends on which genre we're talking about. Some of my favorite YA fiction books are The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, and any historical romance by Eva Ibbotson. I am also a huge fan of Rick Riordan. Yay, Percy Jackson!
Something cool about me: Well, I'm not that interesting, but I do enjoy singing and I'm in choir at school. I also sing in the car and the shower. My favorite songs to sing are those from Glee and The Phantom of the Opera.
Hobbies: reading, singing, I love animals and I'm in 4-H, Twitter, reading (yes, I put reading twice on purpose).
Other: hmmmm... I like to dye my hair different colors. For a while, I was a redhead. I used to have purple streaks. I LOVE chocolate. My friends' nickname for me is "The Dictionary". Oh, and my astrological sign is Cancer. I don't really have an opinion on whether I like or dislike crabs. I guess they're kind of cute when the scuttle across the sand...

GENRE: I don't think I technically have a certain genre. Unless you consider offbeat, original, weird and entertaining a genre? I try to always be on the look out for a really good read though. So, I pay attention to others suggestions.
AUTHOR: Well, I have many favorite authors. Here are a few; Neil Gaiman, Nick Hornby, Jonathan Tropper, Lauren Oliver, etc...

Something Cool About Me: I was named after a German actress named Marlene Dietrich. (My mom changed the spelling) Also, I have really cool natural red hair that I love and have or will never dye.

Other: I am a Taurus through and through. I will be 31 on May 8th, in fact. And I have the cutest dogs named Ozie Blu and Gypsie Violet.

Hello, my name is Andreina, I'm from Venezuela (probably you are wondering "What the hell is this girl doing here?") but I love reading.
My favorite books are (for now) The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare and Where the rainbow ends by Cecelia Ahern.
I used to read a lot! When I wasn't sleeping or eating, I was reading... Thanks to that I'm almost blind! (I'm kidding, but I do have problems with my sight) Now, I don't read that much, only on weekends or vacations, since I got into med school, I don't have time to do anything besides studying, and that SUCKS!
My hobbies: Studyng, sleeping, studying, eating, sleeping, reading, laughing, listening to music while I'm having a shower.. and more, but I can't remember right now.
Spanish is my mother lenguage, so, sorry if I wrote anything wrong, I'm still learning english..

Oh it's not. We just thought it'd be nice if everyone got to know a little bit about the other group members. That way, we'd be aware of eah other's likes and dislikes. Its a lot easier to not offend people that way in my opinion, and also its just fun to introduce yourself! Of course, our group members are in no way required to add an introduction. It is completely voluntary. As a personal preferance, I simply feel that it is important to know a little bit about whoever you are discussing a personal opinion with. Even if that knowledge is something as simple as a name, and the kinds of books they enjoy reading.
