I Hate Interviewing For a Job That Doesn't Exist

A little background first.

I interviewed for a job yesterday. The company's recruiter and I spoke at great length last week about the job and my qualifications, and how I'd be a good fit and vice versa. He set up an interview with the company's VP of Operations, face to face.

Yesterday morning, before the interview, I was told it would it would now be a phone interview. No biggie.

The phone interview went stunningly bad. First off, the VP wasn't even in his office, but on his cellphone, bitching about how much his iPhone sucked. He also didn't have my resume in front of me, so he kept asking me questions about my background that had already been covered.

Then he drops this bomb: "Did the recruiter mention this job doesn't exist yet?"

I love having my time wasted in such a manner. Not that I'm holding my breath, but if this job does become open, I'm telling this clowns to shove it up their ass. Sideways.

Reads with Scotch And here I thought it was just HR that was incompetent.
