I don't think I've seen the Sprint Ads, but I was thinking of an AT & T one, about the "Dad, the chord is invisible!" I really hate "Dad is stupid" commercials. No better than the "Mom is stupid" commercials of the old days.

Have you seen that ad for some phone which seems to imply you can stalk better with it? It has a teenage girl spying on her boyfriend up in a tree and texting about their date and saying all the things she can do with her new phone, and then laughing maniacally...I guess it's supposed to be funny?
I've seen that one, too, Sherri. Just weird! And please..
:::Scoffs::: Everyone knows it would be the villains watching too much DirectTV, not the noble hero!
Hee! That reminds me of this BSG recap that a friend recently posted on FB, Sherri:"Apollo frets that, as leaders, maybe they have an obligation to examine their own decisions and consider every angle until they become paralyzed with self-doubt and regret and are unable to make any decision for fear it's the wrong one. It's like someone took the entire Democratic Party and distilled it into one guy."
(thanks to Scott Clemans, old college friend)
The Quiznos one with the bullet sandwich and the toaster oven telling the guy, "put it in me" made me almost spit out my drink the first time I saw it.Not really related to the OP, but since we're talking about jewelry commercials...
Around Valentine's day, K-Mart had a commercial featuring a couple sitting on the couch watching tv, and the woman grabbed the remote control and proceeded to rewind the commercial they were watching over and over, in order to not-so-subtly hint at her husband that she wanted what was on the television.
What was the item? A piece of crap 19.99 heart necklace.
Guys...I'm pretty sure no woman wants a K-Mart necklace. Especially not a 20 dollar heart. I'd rather never have a guy pick out jewelry for me anyway. It's such a crapshoot that someone's going to pick the exact thing you want.
Oh man, I'd do just about anything for a K-Mart necklace. (NOT) I think my 19-year-old has about a dozen of those upstairs, thanks to her teen boyfriends.
My husband always knew that the things that would most please me were books and CDs, but it is funny how much I treasure what jewelry he did give me now. I ended up getting very sentimental about it.
My husband learned fairly early on not to buy me clothes and jewelry, but the few things he did pick out for me when we were dating were actually things I liked, which surprised me. He got me one coat that I wore for years and I was so distressed when I lost it. Most guys in my past failed at that sort of thing.
Kay has the worst commercials. This one in particular:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltA50H...
That thing seriously triggers my gag reflex.
