Just finished reading "A Most Peculiar Malaysian Murder" which I believe is the first in the Inspector Singh series. Good solid story with the added benefit of exposure to a totally different setting (Malaysia) and insight into a culture of which I had little knowledge. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I also enjoyed A Most Peculiar Malaysian Murder. I have more on my bookshelf so I'll have to see how the series develops.
I'll have to check it out. I've read a few mystery series set in the Far East, it'll be interesting to try another one.
I've read the first three in the series so far and enjoyed all of them. I have the next three on my TBR pile--looking forward to reading them.
I read The Mystery of the Missing Servant and enjoyed it. However, I thought it was the first in the series. Now I will have to find this book and give it a read.
I have just finished the ones that are based in Malaysia, Bali, Singapore. All were good and I learned a little about each country too. I updated my World Challenge listings. The US front covers and publisher blurbs say he is Dirty Harry of Asia. WHAaat? The main character doesnt even carry a gun let alone use violence. If I had to compare him to another, it would be Colombo. I will go back to the series to finish as the storylines, backdrops and characters are interesting.
