i hate great television that sucks me in for hours on end

granted it's better than bad television that sucks you in for hours on end but still it's really lame that i spent the last 10, that's right 10, hours watching the wire and i hate that my boo on the show got got in the last episode (won't specify at the risk of ruining things for other fans). which reminds me, i also those of you who aren't fans yet. in addition, i preemptively hate everyone who is about to respond to this post by saying that they don't own a television. i know this all sounds contradictory but it's not a clear cut kind of hatred. it's complicated, messy, and confusing. oh wire why can't i quit you!

I own a television. I just never turn the damned thing on. I'd like to be all snooty and pretentious about it and talk about brain rot and the lowest common denominator and cultural decline and such, but mainly i'm just too cheap to pop for cable. Hate me anyway?

I'm with you on this one as well mighty miss Meg, I stayed up way to late last night watching the last 6 episodes of Gurren Lagann (& I don't even have a TV!!)
