On page 12 of ARC of Erica Ridley's Apr. 5th release, Too Sinful To Deny and already want to blow off my "to do" list and spend day reading!
I've finally finished my RITA books! Huzzah! So now I'm reading Cynthia Eden's Deadly Lies. It's great and is going to be my favorite in the trilogy, I think.
D, I saw your query about which Nalini Singh to start with, but I've got no suggestions since I haven't read them. I do remember back when the first one came out, though, that people were raving about how wonderful it was, so I think you'd be safe to start there.

Reading Margaret Rowe's Any Wicked Thing, and fanning myself. Naughty stuff, so beautifully written. She's got such a talent.Up next: Julianne MacLean's Captured By the Highlander. I really liked her Victorian romances--this is a big change for her, jumping to 1700s Scotland. But I'm sure she will pull off a gorgeous story! It's the first in a new trilogy; the next one's out next month. Love those back to back releases.
Dls wrote: "About to start Whisper of Scandal by Nicole Cornick"Have patience! This one starts out with a nasty, unlikeable Hero, but then he evolves into a person (versus a caveman) and the story gets much better!
It took me a long time to warm up to the hero in Whisper of Scandal. And there were places I really didn't like the heroine either. Still it was a lot better than other books I have read by her.
I do feel she doesn't capture the period or the setting she writes about well. Men pouring buckets of water over themselves in the artic cold? Ice sculpture on the dinner table in 1811?

I enjoyed both of Kieran Kramer's new books. Next up, I plan on reading The Girl Who Played with Fire.
On Sunday I read, "Show No Mercy" by Cindy Gerard. LOOOOVED IT!!!!! Seriously! Lol! It's the first book in the Black Ops series. I can't wait to get the second one! Of course, I've got book 1, 3, 4, & 5, but not book 2!!!!
I'm in the middle of Cynthia Eden's, "Deadly Fear". I'm liking this one a lot too!!! I think it's the first book I've read where the heroines name is "Monica". It's a little funny/odd to read a story with my name in it! I do believe that, I LIKE IT! Lol!

I've been really burning through books (DH is traveling for work most of the month...) Finished Whisper of Scandal, read and really enjoyed Dark Road to Darjeeling, and now am trying to get into Archangels Kiss by Nalini Singh. So far (50 pages in) its not working for me. I don't usually care where I start in a series but maybe this one I should have started at teh beginning.
I haven't read a lot of Highlander romances, but I just finished Julianne MacLean's Captured By the Highlander and really liked it. She does some clever things with what seems at first like a kidnap plot, and her heroine's very smart and capable. (Always good!) Wondering if any of you are reading this, and how it compares to The Devil Wears Plaid? Next I'll start What I Did for a Duke! Everyone seems to be loving that one, and I always like JAL. Her writing is just gorgeous.
I got back into reading with SEP's Call Me Irresistible. I picked it up yesterday, and I cannot put it down. :)
Hey, sort of off topic, but how do y'all add the book covers to your post? Or the link of the title to your post???!!!
Hi Monica--above the comment box, there's a link that says "add book/author." If you click it, you'll see a pop-up box that will let you search for books by author or title, and you can put in a cover or link. It's a pretty cool little tool! (I ought to use it more!)
I gave up on Singh. I decided too much violence and pain a
d not a whole lot of relationships. Mow reading Janet Mullany rules of gentility.

Dls I love NS books. You really should have started with the 1st one in the series(and not only 'cuz I am OCD-ish in this regard)...
Starting Shadow Music by Julie Garwood

Finished A LOT LIKE LOVE by Julie James and loved it. I would give it 4 1/2 stars. It could have had a little more emotion but overall it was an awesome read. Great dialogue, terrific characters - visiting a few old favorites and introducing a new hero for her next book.I also finished up Kaki Warner's The Blood Rose Trilogy with CHASING THE SUN. I really liked Jack's story. I was a little surprised because he didn't really catch my attention in the first couple of books. I enjoyed watching him and Daisy find their HEA. I also got a bonus and read an excerpt from her new Runaway Brides series starting in July. That looks good!
I'm gonna try Anne Mallory's SEVEN SECRETS OF SEDUCTION. I've heard a lot of good buzz so I'm gonna check it out. If I like it the second in the series, ONE NIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, is available for me right now. I like when that happens.

Thank you, Theresa! Going to try it now!

So, I finished Deadly Fear, by Cynthia Eden .... I LOOOOOVED IT! It's been a while, or so it seems, since I've read a romantic suspense that I didn't want to put down to go to bed! I give it 5 stars!

I just finished Maya Rodale's A Groom of Her Own. Although it could have used a better copy-editor, I really liked the unconventional plot.IrishEyes said: I also finished up Kaki Warner's The Blood Rose Trilogy with CHASING THE SUN. I would like to read that series, but I'd also like it to get a little cheaper in e-book format.

Yep, that was actually the first of hers I read. I really loved the Midnight trilogy, too. She's just very good at sexy suspense.

Susan wrote: "I would like to read that series, but I'd also like it to get a little cheaper in e-book format."No kidding! I could swear I remember hearing that e-books were sooooo much cheaper than the paper copies when this whole e-reader craze started. I'm not seeing a whole lot of savings on that front. I also haven't heard about the huge cost savings from any of the e-reader suppliers lately! Go figure!
I got them from the library but am seriously considering purchasing them so I can add them to my keeper shelf and re-read when the mood hits me.
Irisheyes wrote: I could swear I remember hearing that e-books were sooooo much cheape..."I'm glad to get your endorsement of the Kaki Warner books, that they are worth the extra cost. Not all Trade paperbacks are worth that.
I have noticed that e-book prices vary by publisher. E-Harlequin gives a 25-30% discount on e-books. Sourcebooks have a similar discount. Smashwords have many of their titles free this month. Harper-Collins (includes J. Quinn and E. James) charge full-paperback-price for e-books. Huh.
I have three reviews to write before I can start reading anything new but I haven't been able to do anything but watch CNN since 3am Friday morning when my brother called to tell me about the earthquake. My niece (who is more like a daughter than niece to me) lives in Japan. She's okay but that doesn't lessen the worry and anxiety, especially with all the aftershocks and nuclear instability. I'm hoping to find a book this week that lets me escape for awhile. Any suggestions?
I usually reread old favorites. If you haven't read the iron duke it's a great book and the unusual world really draws you in. If you want something light and funny I just read and enjoyed Janet Mullany Rules of Gentility
