I put off reading this book for a while because I loved book 1 when I read it. Loved the couple loved the plot but then I read book 2 and it fell flat. I don't know what it was about book 2 but I didn't like the couple didn't like the plot and the bad guy sucked. I was bored that whole read. But I didn't need to worry because Cynthia Eden rocked it out in this one. I loved this book. I loved Sam and Max. Thought they had a great connection and the lust was burning up the pages

We met Samantha Kennedy back in Deadly Fear. We witnessed her sadistic torture, and have since watched bits and pieces of her try to come back to life. Real life, not just the version she puts on for show. And yet Samantha is still haunted...every day is a struggle to deal with the crippling fear of having her GREATEST fear realized. She lived through it, now she has to move past it.

Samantha begins this story by acting somewhat out of character. She goes on a hunt for someone to take her mind off of her fears.

FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy is drowning in the dark memories of the serial killer who kidnapped her and used her worst fear against her. She’s barely hanging onto her control, keeping her fellow agents from seeing how she’s falling apart. She longs to feel confident, different so she pretends to be so and shares one night of passion with a sexy stranger, who makes her feel fearless and unbroken.

This was one heck of a romantic suspense thriller. Cynthia uses the right formula in her book's that just keeps me wanting more. Like all the other book's in this series, Deadly lies also had great chemistry between the H&h and the love scenes were well done, What Cynthia does the best in my opinion is weaves a story unlike any I have read before. Her villains are so twisted and the story is so chilling. I have not read many Romantic Suspense thrillers but of the one's I have read, Cynthia E ...more

Loved this book!! Deadly Fear was good, Deadly Heat was Great, and this 3rd book to the Deadly Series blew me away!!! I loved Sam & Max. The story was intense and again Cynthia Eden had me guessing almost to the end on who the actual killer was. Hopefully this will not be the last book in the series....I would love to read Jon Ramirez', Hyde's & Kim's book's. Excellent series lots of suspense that keeps you guessing and plenty of hot romance!!

“You knew the rules. You fucked up. It’s your fault. And now, he comes back to you, in pieces.”

A blunt, to the point message from the sadistic serial killer in Deadly Lies, the third installment of the Deadly series by Cynthia Eden.

FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy has been to hell and back after being abducted and tortured by a serial killer dubbed “The Watchman” (Deadly Fear). Plagued by constant nightmares of her abduction, Sam has had a difficult time trying to take

It starts as a great romantic suspense. Note the starts. Sam has serious issues because of what happened in Deadly Fear. Her nightmares are not going away, she has trouble functioning and it seems that even her boss doesn't trust she could do her job. After her horrifying ordeal, it isn't surprising that she is trying to cope the best she can.
Max Ridgeway should have been a distraction, but only one night simply is not enough for either of them. Max doesn't know who Sam really is at first.

5 Stars!GASP…I need air….I don’t think I took a breath while reading this book.

I thought book one Deadly Fear was great. Then ok…can Cynthia Eden do a repeat with Deadly Heat? YES! Alright, what are the chances the third book Deadly Lies can measure up since the bar has been set so high? It jumped right over that bar, because this book was even BETTER! Oh, our quiet, shy, Samantha Kennedy is no longer the victim. She is going to prove that she has overcome the trauma inflicted on her in Dead

For me this was the absolutely best book of this series! I loved everything about this story! It was fast paced, intense, steamy, sweet and it had a hero that was oh so SEXY!

Samantha Kennedy is an FBI agent in the SSD division. We met Sam in the first book in the series, she was kidnapped by the serial killer and forced to go through her worst fear. Now unsure of herself, she is trying to convince her fellow FBI agents that she is ready to handle cases

I'm rating this book 3.75 stars. I liked it. It wasn't bad for the book genre, it was just that there were just some issues I had. First of all it got kinda draggy in my opinion. This whole finding the killer part was like a wild goose chases. In a bad way. The two main characters were average. I though they were okay. Sam was a good character but she was a little judgmental in one scene. But overall I liked her. Max was irrating at times. He lead with his emotions and was sometime not rational. ...more

I started this over a MONTH ago and I don't see myself continuing with it, even though I enjoyed the first two in the series this one did not hook me in AT ALL.

What an ammmmaaaaaazzziiinnnnngg ride!!! I sure was blown away!

Deadly lies is the last book (so far, I hope!) of the deadly series and it's just fitting coz the author saved the very best for last (but pls this better not be the last, PLS! *pleads*)

I was riveted from the very first page. The author has the ability to create dark, heart-wrenching, tortured characters. The thriller part of this book was an out of control roller-coaster ride. The whole story was incredible and a puzzle

I love her way of writing, although I am more for first point of view, here the 3rd works perfectly. You get to meet the other characters and hear the bad guys but not too much so they don’t steal the whole book.
But what I love love about Cynthia Eden is her main characters (well mostly, maybe in one or two books it didn’t work for me) but usual
Deadly Lies is the third book in the Deadly series by Cynthia Eden. A very riveting romantic suspense that truly kept me on the edge of my seat, guessing until the end. Well, I sort of guessed a little before the end but still...

The characters were well developed and the plot moved swiftly along. I almost gave it 5 stars but I did have minor issues with the timing/location of a couple of love scenes. Still, I highly recommend this to lovers of good romantic suspense.

Cynthia Eden seems to just get better and better with each of the books in her Deadly Series. Not only are these books full of nail-biting, heart-pounding suspense, but they are also scorching hot! Deadly Lies, in my opinion, was the best in the series so far.

Deadly Lies focuses on SSD FBI Agent Samantha Kennedy. If you’ve read Deadly Fear, then you already know the trauma she suffered at the hands of a cold-blooded serial killer. Sam is desperate to get past the nightmares and fear

Overall a really good romance suspense story, but a bit too dark for my normal reading tastes. This had some seriously gruesome scenes, so beware. But the romance was hot, and I loved the chemistry between H/h.

Reading this gave me a sense of deja vu because we had some recurring cast from Book 1 Deadly Fear, which I totally forgotten that I had read before. This can definitely worked as a standalone, however, Luke and Monica from Book 1 did took up some page time, so you might not appreciate it as much.

There was a serial kidnapping case that the SSD was handling. Two victims came back after ransom was paid, but those families that refuses to cooperate, their sons were

While this book is fine as a stand-alone, I think it's best if Deadly Fear is read to get the entire story of what happened to her. Sam, still trying to heal from the aftermath of book one, is determined to show the other Serial Service Division members she can handle the pressure. A wealthy self-made Max happens to be Sam's target for a one-night stand. An insane kidnapper also happens to set his target on Max through his stepbrother Quinlan. Soon he finds that Sam isn't being entirely

Cynthia Eden tells a delicious tale of lies, deceit and danger in Deadly lies and let me tell you she sure didn’t skip out on the blazing hot sex in this book *still fanning self*. I sure hope Cynthia will keep writing more books for this series, because not only is this my favorite suspense series, but this book left me wanting to read more. Deadly Lies was one quite fascinating read that was full of action and steamy encounters between the hero and the heroine. If you love Pamela Clare's I-Team series or have a thing for romantic suspense, then you should definitely check this one out. Cynthia Eden is slightly new to the romance department but she is one talented lady! You can't exactly read this certain book as a stand-alone because the first book, Deadly Fear is significantly important or related to our heroine, Samantha Kennedy. I've enjoyed and l ...more
The third of a series, Deadly Lies had potential that wasn't reached. The basic kidnapping/murder plot was ingenious. Eden did a good job setting up a complicated plot, just as she has in the two previous books. Samantha and Max are an interesting couple and I mostly thought their dynamic worked.

But there are several issues with this book that make me uncertain I will continue with the series. First, the gore and body count got too high for me. This book will appeal to readers who like g

Samantha Kennedy was abducted, tortured, and killed in Deadly Fear. But she was brought back. Over and over. The killer drowned her and resuscitated her so many times she lost count. In this book, she is back with the SSD, and her latest case is closer than she knows.

In trying to get some form of control back over her life, Sam decides she wants sex with someone who won’t look at her like a victim, or like they’re waiting for her to break. When she sees

Let me tell you, Cynthia Eden knows how to write a hot romantic suspense! Whew!

While Deadly Lies works well as a standalone novel, I do think it would beneficial to read the entire series in order to fully appreciate what Sam has been through, and the reasoning behind certain actions.

One thing I adore about Cynthia Eden, other than her scorching love scenes, is the fact that she doesn’t shy away from

Wow, this series is such a pleasant surprise. I tried book one recently and really enjoyed it, so immediately ordered books two and three. The series gets better as it goes along and this book has been the best of the series so far!

I like the lead gal--the strength/growth she showed in the aftermath of her attack. The plot is full of twists and turns, and the bad guy was a total surprise. Only negative for me is the sex scenes are sometimes a bit mu

Samantha meets up with the one-night-stand that she couldn't forget about. Max was also looking for her after she left him while he slept. When they get together again, they become embroiled in a horrible situation that could tear his family apart.

Better than average romantic suspense book. The twists and turns of who the actual killer was and if other people were involved kept me guessing. And the romance between the main characters was really done well and believable. Enjoyed this book a lot.
