Love Inspired RomanceFinally a Family by Carolyne Assren
My sister gave me this book. It is such a beautiful love story. It made me laugh and cry. The scenes sounded so real that I wanted to be there. I read it in one day, just did'nt want to put it down it was that good. I want to read more by this author.
Here are a few of the last books that I have read:The Wedding Dress by Kimberly Cates, The Sound of Snow by Katherine Kingsley, Smokin' Seventeen by Janet Evanovich, 44 Charles Street by Danielle Steel, and A Summer in Sonoma by Robyn Carr. I would recommend all of them.
I just started Hero at Large one of Janet Evanovich's old romance books that she wrote before starting the Stephanie Plum series. (It was originally published in 1987.)
I just finished reading A Family for Faith by Missy Tippens an April 2011 on sale now at eHarlequin. Awesome romantic tension. Kept me up into the wee hours.
Just finished Gail Martin's A Family of Their Own - really enjoyed that one. I want to get Vanished by Margaret Daley - anyone read it? It looks so good!

Vanished was great!!
Will I sound really pathetic if I admit to already reading all of the September LIHs? It's true. We went to the waterpark Sunday so I got lots of reading time in. Only... now what do I do with myself?

I am reading Silent Protector by Barbara Phinney. It is my 7th Love Inspired Suspense book in the past few weeks as I attempt to get caught up on my pile of unread LIS books. I stopped getting them in print form last December and am now up to August 2010 with the stand-alone books.

"I just started Captive Trail by Susan Page Davis. That Jamie Carie book looks interesting. Would love to know how you like it.
Her Guardian, another great book by Sharon Dunn, filled with lots of action, great charactors and wonderful story line. A must read!
Sandra I am enjoying Jamie Carie's book couldn't read last night was so sick couldn't do much but hopefully will read more today. im about half way through.
I am so glad to know I'm not the only one who's behind on my books! I just read Mountain Peril Mountain Peril by Sandra Robbins last night. I went to the gym and had a tough workout, so when I got home, I wanted to take a hot bath and read. My legs hurt so bad I didn't want to go downstairs and get a book, but then I remembered I had a stash in my bedroom. PHEW! I'd read most of the books, but I hadn't read Sandra's yet. Really good book!
The other book I'm reading, which is absolutely fascinating is Fannie's Last Supper: Two Years, Twelve Courses, and Creating One Amazing Meal from Fannie Farmer's 1896 Cookbook Is Fannie's Last Supper by Chris Kimball. He's a chef with America's Test Kitchen, and the book is about re-creating a 12 course meal from the original Fannie Farmer cookbook, using only (mostly) materials from back then. It's really interesting, and he's got a ton of great history interspersed with the cooking info. I can't say that I'd try making the recipes myself, but I do love how he describes them.

I finished Captive Trail last night and will write a review for my Thursday's blog post.
Thanks Sandra feeling much better today. Finished Mountaintop (New England Series #3) by Lauralee Bliss
and
now reading
I just finished The Bible. LOL, yes, THE Bible. First time I read it all the way through! Now I'm reading The Visionary by Pamela Thibodeaux and Hearts Communion by Marianne Evans. Enjoying both =-)
Hi Dana! I started a "Read the Bible in a Year" plan right after Thanksgiving 2010. I've got 78 days to go. It's been an awesome experience. Congrats to you for finishing!
Thanks! I didn't do an organized thing, just tried to read a chapter a day unless it was short, then two. Some of those books are HARD to get through =-/ But once I hit the NT it was a breeze =-D Blessings!
I thought I'd never get through Kings and Chronicles, but a few months after reading them, I read the first two books of Lynn Austin's "Chronicles of the Kings." It was great to have the background. I'm in Isaiah now. Congrats again!
Oh that's great!! I've tried to do the organized readings and I always lose track at some point and give up! You've inspired me to try again!

It can be daunting, Dream, but go for it! Oh, just wanted to add I'm also reading Tender Touch by Tanya Stowe. Great so far =-D
Thanks Dana!
Ashley, welcome! Both are excellent books! I can't wait to hear what you think!
I'm at the American Christian Fiction Writers conference right now, and I'm so excited because I've gotten to meet a lot of the new authors for Love Inspired, Love Inspired Suspense, and Love Inspired Historical. You guys are in for a treat when their books come out!

I am reading Shades of Blue by Karen Kingsbury. It is my first book by this author and I am really liking it so far! :)
Reading Pattern of Wounds by J. Mark Bertrand. Been at it for about a week because I've been so busy, I haven't had time to really dig in. But it's another good suspense by Bertrand.
I'm traveling so I am using my NOOK and catching up on some e-books that have been waiting awhile. I mostly caught up with my NetGalley reviews before leaving home.I am reading Ruth Ann Nordin's South Dakota series. Yesterday was Loving Eliza and today I'll start on Bid for A Bride.
Finally finished Pattern of Wounds. Great suspense. Hard to have such a flawed, likable protagonist, and no one set up the next book better than Bertrand. Now reading Reclaiming Lily by Patti Lacy and Bring on the Blessings by Beverly Jenkins. The latter is on my Kindle phone app so I read when I get a chance. It will be a longer read. I was reading another book but it wasn't really great for me so I stopped. Unheard of. But it was a free download and I thought about why I felt I had to finish the book, even though I'd told the author I would read it and it's gotten some good reviews. I found the writing to be a bit pedestrian and couldn't get past that.
Do you ebook readers find you are more or less willing to put aside an ebook than a physical book? Does it matter whether you paid for the ebook?
I'm just as likely to set aside an E as a print book if I don't like it. I usually do so because of time, however. I have so many to read and not enough hours in a week.
Great question! I think I am more willing to put down an ebook, mostly because I tend to use my ereader only when traveling. So if the book isn't compelling, if I'm done with my trip, I generally will shut off the ereader and not keep reading when I get back. So the next time I go somewhere, if it's on a book, I don't remember what it was about, and figure if I didn't like it well enough to keep reading when I come home, then I just move on to the next book.
GASP!! I think this means I may be cured of my "I can't not finish a book" disease!

Patricia, I haven't read one on the kindle yet I didn't like but have a lot I downloaded free and dont think I will end up reading. I have not read a few books I have been sent. A couple were for the CFBA tour and they just were not me and one had language that to Aussies (me) was offensive. If I pay I feel I want to get my moneys worth but if I dont like the book or cant get into it I now will leave it.
Ive been reading a romance series by Robyn Carr, called Virgin River, there are about 16 books in this series, I really like them.
Getting ready to start a Love Inspired book this weekend. =)

Enjoyed a couple of Virgin River books too. Nice series.
I just this minute finished Linda Ford's and Winnie Griggs November novellas in Once Upon a Thanksgiving. Both were wonderfully written and touching--just what I needed after the week I've had!
Oh I loved them they were really good. read them in 2 days. So different but so good. I loved the twins.
I just finished Mary Moore's The Aristocrat's Lady--very good book dealing with a heroine with a disability and the man who loves here. A good read!
