Anyone else as excited as me about getting their hands on the book tomorrow? I have been waiting for this for so long. The first of the trilogy was just amazing. -takes a few deep breaths-

Yep. Will be at my house tomorrow too. I don't know if I'll start it right away though. It's been a long time since I read the first one. At least I'll have it so I can read as soon as I get a chance.

Laurel wrote: "Tomorrow is my 35th birthday - I think Wise Man's Fear will make an excellent present!"Hey me and Jim Butcher have the same birthday, I love that with Side Jobs being both of our presents, but did not read it, but look forward to the first 4 chapters of the next Butcher book on his publishers website.
I pre-ordered, but it probably won't get here for a week or so... Super slow shipping, boo! But I'll be reading it as soon as it's in my hands!

Its not my birthday, thanks anyway, I was just saying that both Butcher and me share a birthday like you and the release day of The Wise Man's Fear.
Happy Birthday Laurel hope you enjoy The Wise Man's Fear.
Downloading it to my Nook as I type. Made sure to finish my previous book last night so I could start this one right away. :D
@NitaI did the same thing got home last night and finished the last 100 pages of the book I was reading so I would be able to start wise mans fear right away.
Everyone's so excited! I pre-ordered, and am hoping for it to arrive within the week (if I'm lucky). Gives me just enough time to finish my re-listen of The Name of the Wind.=)
I really want to read this book but I have a question for anyone who has started it. I read the first one when it first came out. I liked it alot but that was awhile ago with many books read inbetween. Would you recommend reading the first one again or is the sequel written in such a way readers like me won't be lost? I don't mind reading it again but I have so many other books waiting for me.
Haven't started the sequel yet, so I can't say for sure, but I'm not too concerned with the re-read of book 1, (however, it's HAS been nice audio listening). It's a group discussion this month, and a book I really enjoyed, so I'm giving it a full attempt, but if book 2 arrives and I feel like reading it, I won't linger - and I DO have a bad memory.
Downloaded the first chapter (why do I forget this option) and it seems good. I'll be reading it when Iam done with the book Iam on now.
I loved this book. Patrick Rothfuss has a wonderful gift and I can't praise his work enough. After reading The Name of the Wind I checked Audible constantly hoping to find the sequel. It was almost a celebration for me when this book was released and I missed out on a lot of sleep listening to it. Now for the next one, I for one can't wait.~Jordan
