Shannon- post 8
Shannon, when you repost, please clearly state that you are claiming a Goodreads author. The summary alone is not enough

I apologize if I don't understand, but I just need to write somewhere in my post that Garth Stein is a Goodreads author?

Yes, say Garth Stein is a Goodreads author or something to make it clear that you are claiming a ticket for a Goodreads author. Having a tally is nice, but once we're into the challenge I can't tell when new authors are being claimed.

ETA - never mind I see you posted it in message 23
Jayme (the ghost reader) - post 36Task 5.8 requires you to: State the format or source when you post.
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts should include all task requirements.
Brenda - post 43There is more than one Brenda in the challenge. Please put your Readerboard name at the top of your post and repost your completed task.

I reposted
Maggie - post 45
You will need to clearly state that you are claiming a Goodreads author or big book ticket in your post. Claiming them in the tally will not be enough of a marker in future posts.
No need to repost the Big Book this time.
J.R. Ward and Joanne Fluke are not Goodreads authors. Goodreads authors will say (Goodreads author) after their name on a book record, have an * after an author's name on a shelf, or say "Goodreads author profile in the upper right-hand corner of their profile page.

OH! I'm sorry, I see that now. I guess I thought since they had an author page they were. Thank you.

Katie, this thread is for questions/problems only. Please repost your completed task in the Completed Task thread. Thanks!
Erin C -- post 79Erin wrote: 5.2 Waltzing Matilda
A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier by Ishmael Beah
This has the word "long" in the title from "The Long Sword Dance", which was on the wikipedia list of dances.
I assume you wanted to claim this for 5.1 instead of 5.2. No need to repost, but check your records so you (and I) don't end up confused ;o).
Nickboy -- post 94Task 15.3 is a two book task. You only listed one book in the Completed Task thread. Please repost including both books. You need to repost only this task. The other task in the post has been counted.

Ah, so you don't post book by book, but task by task only when tasks are completed. Gotcha.

Ah geez...what is silly mistake. Thanks for catching that, sorry to make more work for you. Thanks for keeping us straight!!
Lindsey MA -- post 124Ravenous doesn't appear to have a print edition. Ebooks that have no print edition must be verified for length in the eBook Verification thread before they can be claimed. Once that's done, please repost this only task. The other task in this post has been counted. Thanks!

Ok I had it verified and reposted the task. Sorry for the confusion! Thank you!
Lindsey wrote: "Ok I had it verified and reposted the task. Sorry for the confusion! Thank you! "Thanks, Lindsey!
Maggie -- post 165Please only include newly completed task in your posts. There's no need to include tasks you've already reported and it gets confusing when I have to go back to earlier posts to see if you've changed books for that task. Thanks for making record-keeping as easy as possible ;o).
Got it! Sorry for the confusion, I haven't participated in the last few challenges and things have gotten fancier! For the better, though!
Lisa MD -- post 227Chelsea Cain is not an alliterative name. The two names start with different sounds and she has been disapproved in the 20.5 help thread.
Kristi (Passion for the Page) wrote: "Lisa MD -- post 227Chelsea Cain is not an alliterative name. The two names start with different sounds and she has been disapproved in the 20.5 help thread."
Sorry, I hadn't checked the thread. I was thinking only about same beginning letters, not sounds. I found a new spot for it. Thanks!
Tracy -- post 235Task 20.6 requires that you read at least 400 pages. The book you claimed has less than 400 pages. You may read multiple books from series to add up to 400 pages if you want. This can be multiple books from the same series, or books from different series.
Please repost this task when all of the requirements have been met. When reposting, include all of the required books. Records of partially completed tasks are not kept. Thanks!
Michelle -- post 284There are several Michelle's in the challenge. Please repost your completed tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.
Sandy -- post 306There is more than one Sandy in the challenge. Please repost your completed tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.
Cindie -- post 403Please repost this task reporting what numbers you rolled. I think you accidently typed the letter "A" instead of a number and I can't tell whether your books fit or not without the numbers rolled. Thanks!
Sheila -- post 478You've already claimed a book for 5.2 (The Thirteenth Tale). Did you mean to claim Good in Bed for 5.4?
Sheila wrote: "yes I did mean 5.4, duh! Should I repost it? or just edit the post?"Thanks, Sheila. I thought so. No need to repost, I got it ;o).
Brenda WI -- post 571Task 5.6 -- Simply Sailing: A Different Approach to a Life of Adventure appears to be an ebook with no print edition. You need to have it verified for length in the eBook Verification--no print edition thread before posting it in the completed task thread.
Task 15.7 -- Task 15.7 requires fiction. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is nonfiction.
Please repost only these tasks when these issues have been resolved. No need to repost the others, they've been counted. Thanks!
Karen OZ -- post 603Task 20.9 -- Subtitles cannot be used for this task so Perfume: The Story of a Murderer will not work.
Please repost only this task when you've resolved this issue. The other tasks have been counted. Thanks!

Carrie -- posts 610 & 612Post 610 -- There are several Carries in the challenge. Please go to the Readerboard Names thread, read posts #1 and #2 and set up your Readerboard name before reposting these tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your posts.
Post 612 Task 5.7 requires you to state the format/source of the book (i.e., what makes it green?) in your posts. Please repost this task after you've set up a Readerboard name. Thanks!
Casey -- post 614There are other Caseys in the challenge. Please go to the Readerboard Names thread, read posts #1 and #2 and set up your Readerboard name before reposting this task with your Readerboard name at the top of your posts.
Cheryl TX -- post 634The Boxcar Children books are considered Young Readers. The rules of the challenge state:
6. The use of ’Young Reader Books’ aimed at the emerging elementary school reader is limited to the 5, 10, and 15 point tasks. Examples of Young Reader books would include: Ramona Quimby, Age 8, Ann M. Martin's The Babysitter's Club series, and Meet Samantha: An American Girl. They are formatted with larger typefaces, more whitespace, limited vocabularies and word counts, and other early reader accommodations. Children’s classics like Little Women or books like Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone aimed at a younger audience, but without early reader accommodations may be used throughout the challenge. If you are unsure if a book qualifies as Young Reader, please ask in the appropriate Help Thread. Young Reader books may be used for tasks that specifically allow or require them.
So they will not work for for 30 point tasks. Please repost tasks 30.6 and 30.7 when you have replacement books.
Also, for task 25.2 you listed both The Grapes of Wrath and The Great Gatsby for part B. While both books are on the 2010 1001 Books list, you only need to read one book. Let me know if you want to move one of them to a different task. Points for this task have been recorded, so no need to repost it.
Tracy -- post 645While I appreciate the fact that it's sometimes hard to keep up with what you've posted so far, posting your whole list makes life very difficult for the record-keepers. Only one of us keeps up with the points for each challenge and there are hundreds of people playing ;o).
You can find out which tasks you've already posted by finding one of your posts and clicking on your name in the shaded box next to the message number. When you've sorted it all out, please repost only those tasks which you have not yet posted and only those which you have finished. Thank you for helping make record-keeping as painless as possible.
MsOPP (Julie) -- post 656Since neither of these books appears to have anything to do with basketball, I assume they're in the Tournament of Books somewhere? Task 25.5 requires you to indicate on which year's list your book appeared. Please repost this task to include the required information. Thanks!

Kristi - the years are right behind the titles, but I will repost with more description

No problem! I can't imagine how hard it is to keep up with all those posts, and after a while, I'm sure the numbers/letters start running together.

Carrie, I don't see where you have reported Fall of Giants as a completed task. 20.5 is Rachel Renee's Alliterative Authors Association task. To claim a Big Book, you must use the book for a task. Please repost this book indicating the task it fits. Thanks!

If you have questions about your points on the Readerboard:
1. Please check your math first!
2. Check to see if one of your posts is listed in this thread with a question. If so, please make a NEW POST in the Completed tasks thread to clear up the question. DO NOT go back and edit the original post. I will not go backwards in the completed task thread to pick up points.
3. To avoid further questions/problems, please refer to the TASK DESCRIPTIONS and the POSTING REQUIREMENTS.
Thank you for helping keep the record keeping for the challenge as manageable as possible.
