It is a pretty quick read if you want to join in.
Dorian Gray was my favorite Oscar Wilde story. Read it first in high school and have reread it several times since. Loaded it on my Kindle from public domain.
I'm not being silent. I started something like eleventy billion threads today, thank you very much.
Hey! I do NOT squish spiders unless they are on my face or near my baby. Otherwise they get a ride on a coaster under a glass to the nearest porch.
after becoming cross-eyed reading about farting vaginas, spam, sidecar riding, pretty eyed cows and uncle bob, i finally found a reference to 'TWSS'. SHIT!!i'm of the opinion it stems from 'that's what she said'. (yes, i am well aware my opinion may be quite incorrect). this leads me to a question i have had for some time now. just what the hell does 'that's what she said' refer to, exactly?
We had a discussion of TWSS in another thread and someone linked to a long clip from The Office. I don't know if the term originated there.
Barb wrote: "It refers to anything that can be possibly twisted into a juvenile snicker-worthy comment. It's one of Kevin's favorite things in the whole wide world, I believe he even has TWSS T-Shirt.Example..."
thanks, barb. i had the impression it was something like that. but, like i said, i'm occasionally incorrect.
i think i'm gonna have'ta start gettin' teased and corrected for using slang and the wrong words and puttin' my damn commas and so on in the wrong place.
i do try, y'all, but sometimes i get in a hurry and just don't pay attention to the little things. just sayin'. but i am amused by how often people are corrected here...........carry on.
Larry wrote: "Janine eventually came around and started using the shift key. Maybe you could aspire to that."Believe it or not, this morning while visiting another site, I pondered that very thing. Heehee. No, really, I did. Anywho, I've been trying all day and I'm doing better, but I'm still finding myself ignoring that old shifty key.
