Shifters, that sounds good. I'll take this chance to read
, that's been on my TBR for quite a while now.
@Laura: I'm a bit twigged...I'll fix it in the morning, thanks for letting me know!Hoping the other half of my brain will return....

I forget to change that part all the time. So you're in good company. ;)
Nighty night.

Finished Black Dust Mambo for my free space read - 03/12, 4 starsThis was one of those books that is so fast-paced and gripping that you feel like you can't come up for air some of the time, it was really draining, but in a good way. I couldn't get too attached to the characters as the viewpoint hopped arround so much and the love-interest, Layne, was inhabited for 80% of the time by a brittish gay illusionist(I liked Antoine by the way), so i couldn't really feel the spark between him and Kallie. Things get even more complicated when you take into consideration his ex, who still has feelings for him.
Will continue with the series, and also check out the author's other works, he seems to have a good grip on dark UF.
Just finished Storm Glass and it was seriously awesome - as in I'm starting the next book as soon as I've got my CSI:NY fix :) My full review is here.
Oh my gosh. A new shelf! I need to finish my last book. For my Shifters book, I pick
. I'm wondering if I'll like this series as much as I liked the Aisling Grey: Guardian series. That series made me giggle. Haha.

OMG, there are two teams with stamps received and most of the others have 6+ books read for that shelf. We've been doing great so far , but we have to step it up a little, otherwise the books are just going to pile up since we only have a week for each shelf. Go team! :)

I'm almost done with one! I swear! Day off tomorrow. I'm finishing my part-of-a-series book and starting on the shifters book. :-D
Miss wrote: "Lol, can you guess I'm beastly competitive? :))Congrats to teams 3 and 4, you did fantastic!"
Thanks Miss :)
3/14/11 3.5*'sAnita is back in this rather short novel. Her supporting cast included Micah, Nathanial and Jason, but the emphasis was more on her job rather than cavorting with the boys. It felt more like a novella (larger print, short page count) but was a nice story. It was a little predictable (I felt), but I enjoyed Ms. Hamilton's short article at the end a lot. While this series is no longer in my top favorites, I still enjoy it, and will keep reading.
I am attached to that series too Judithe, since it was my first UF series and I was fascinated at the time. Not sure how I would feel about it if I started reading it now...
:D Alyssa, don't worry about it, I was very busy last week also, couldn't read a page, but then I had some time during the weekend and finished both my reads. This is a competition and we have to rely on our teammates, but it will also get to be fun, you'll see.:)

Yeah, I've read Bitten, and I loved it (: If the characters in Stray are as good as the characters in the Women of the Otherworld then I'll be fine.
Miss wrote: "I am attached to that series too Judithe, since it was my first UF series and I was fascinated at the time. Not sure how I would feel about it if I started reading it now..."It was my "first" recent one (after a break of many years...I had to leave most of my vampire collection in the States when I moved to Japan, and just couldn't find more here), and I'm sure I'll keep reading Anita's stories. And now, I just LOVE how the market has exploded, so many good writers and series out there!

I finished
for part-of-a-series.FIVE STARS
O M G! This book was jaw dropping for me. I swear my mouth was probably hanging open half the time I was reading this book. It was sooo awesome!!!
I'm interested to see what Richelle Mead's spin off series
will be like.
Yay, Alyssa! That's a series I'm looking forward to starting soon!I borrowed an idea from Steph, and worked up a stat sheet for us. I'll put the link on page 1 (where updates are in Post #8). I've updated up to Alyssa's post above. Check and let me know if anything needs to be fixed!
Sixie Chicks Stat Sheet
I forgot to change the setting on the doc from private to shared! Apologies and it should be fixed now!
Hmmm...could somebody let me know if the link is OK (I mean, can you access it by clicking there, or do you have to ask permission?) I did set it to "anybody who has the link can view"...but can't actually check that it's working ok all by myself! LOL. I'm still learning on google.docs!
Judithe, when I clicked on it a little bit ago, between your posts 186 and 187, it asked me if I wanted to request permission, which I did. I then got your e-mail, and with that I could open it.
I just finished
on 3/14/11 for shifters. I give it 3 *'s. The book started out slower than I would have liked, I wasn't sure if I would want to read further on in the series. By about half way through though, I got really into it and enjoyed the book. I appreciated Kitty's humor and how she interacted with the other characters.
Change the link in post 185...this should allow you to view it without needing permission...but if it still doesn't, LET ME KNOW!Thanks & sorry for the inconvenience!
Heather wrote: "I just finished

I will be interested to see what happens in the next book after how the first one ended. I always love a sarcastic character so once Kitty started to develop in the first book, I found it a lot more fun.
:) Congrats to all the teams who got their stamp, wow! Also to Zaanodes and Heather who've read all three if their reads, way to go girls! :D
