Free Space Books Read:
So,I'll be reading
for G4 and one of these previous BOM's,(probably...it still might change!)
or
, for the Free Space.Once you've chosen and read your book, be sure to post the date you finish reading, how many stars, and a short review (review here, or post a link to your review elsewhere). Can't wait to see what everyone chooses!
Yey! Awesome! I'll be reading Storm Glass for my part-of-a-series read, and Dying Bites for my free read. I'm in the middle of a series of cozies at the mo, but should be done in the next couple of days so I may even be able to get these done this week.
Thank ye, Steph! I've noticed everyone has at least one book I haven't read, and that looks like a good addition to my TBR for someday, so can't wait to see the reviews!!!
5★'s 3/6/11I finished this a couple of hours ago. Why didn't I post right away? Well, I was too busy starting Mockingjay!
I will write up a full review later on my book page, but initial impressions now. Fantastic, fast-paced, twisty, keep-you-guessing story...it's a disturbing and compelling tale. It picks up shortly after The Hunger Games. Just enough background detail to refresh your memory if you haven't read the first recently, but not too much that it will bore you if, like me, you read it a few weeks ago.
(view spoiler)
This was literally a "canNOT put it down read. I am quite glad I didn't start this trilogy until all three volumes were out...it must have been agony to wait almost a full year!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Great review Judithe, I loved that series too, but be prepared because the last one is really grim.:(
For part-of-a-series I am going to go with
.Still not sure what to read for my free space, I'll make that choice after I stop at the bookstore.
Miss wrote: "Great review Judithe, I loved that series too, but be prepared because the last one is really grim.:("It was! I just devoured Mockingjay after that. I don't cry often when reading, but that one certainly did it! I was pleased with the end, though sad in a way that the series is over.
This time was actually OK, got started on it early...kids in bed early, so I got to sleep @ my "normal" time...hard to pick what to read next though!
When you have a hook, line and sinker book that won't let go, it's always hard picking after that. Nothing seems to live up to the fantastic book you just finished.
Judithe wrote: "How are you liking it so far?"It is pretty good. For most series, it takes me several to REALLY get into them. So, far it is not one of my all-time favorites, though. I would place it second-tier.
I am so glad that there isn't a BINGO police, otherwise I just may have gotten myself arrested! lolol
But I am having fun!
So, I can pick any book that is part-of-a-series as long as it is linked to that list? Is it all right if it's one that I already have on my TBR list? Or does it have to be new to my TBR books? If I'm picking right, I want to read
for my part-of-a-series book.I would also like to read
for my FREE SPACE book.Just let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.
No, you're exactly right, Alyssa. As long as the book you've chosen is located on the shelf, it's fair game. You don't have to have it on TBR and it's ok if it is. :D Enjoy!
EEK=Just found I put Jackie M's book under Zaanodes' name!! Sorry & all fixed! If anyone notices a flub like that PLEASE let me know.
Judithe wrote: "EEK=Just found I put Jackie M's book under Zaanodes' name!!"So, how did I like it, Judithe?? lolol
Judithe wrote: "I think you used some words like "spectacular" and such..."Good thing I am willing to do re-reads!
Shelf 1, part-of-a-series: Iron Kissed ] 3/8 ★★★ This book impressed me more than the previous 2. I cared more about Mercy. The narrative still feels...dispassionate (not quite the right word) to me, though.
Sorry for the late reply, this week is terribly busy for me (have to read 9 books in 7 days for school) but I'm sure I can squeeze something in!For book-in-series I'll read Haunted by Kelley Armstrong
I'm keeping the free space free for a little longer, so I can wait till my next batch of books arrives (:
