R2 TEAM THREAD: Team #6 Sixie Chicks [FIRST PLACE]

Thanks Steph :D
I'm not going there re the sexin' LOL!

Good luck! I do empathize with you...as I'm almost at mid-terms and dealing with panicky students related to that!

Yep, the end of May though, so a week & a half or thereabouts, to go."
*<:-) Mine's the 22nd! Happy Birthday, ladies!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABBLING AKA CHRISTINA

This is the second book in the Lords of the Underworld series. The main couple in this book are Lucien and Anya. I really liked Lucien a lot because he tries to do the right thing and is not too much of a hothead. There were some things about Anya that I did and didn't like. I liked that she was a strong independent woman who does whatever she wants, but I really didn't like the way she talked some of the time (the baby talk was a bit much). Overall I really enjoyed the story and thought that pace that was set was just right. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

I finished Dead Witch Walking for the fantasy-scifi shelf.
4 stars.
I.... Uh.... Hmmm.... I'm not sure how to describe it. I liked the book, but I felt like I was struggling just a little bit to get into it in the beginning. One problem was that they were mentioning the Turn and then didn't describe what it was for a while. I guees another problem I had getting into it was that some of the really good action wasn't until later on.
I'm still kind of undecided as to how I feel about Rachel. I like her, but I think she might kind of annoy me.
Loved Jenks. Had me laughing sometimes. Really loved Matalina. She's soo sweet.
I thought it was really interesting how Rachel met Nick. I like him, but the unexplained stuff about him makes me nervous.
Ivy was cool too. She and Rachel are really different. I foresee problems in their relationship. Same as with Nick, there's a lot of unexplained stuff about her that makes me super nervous for the next books.
*sigh* Finally done typing this up....
Go Sixie Chicks!! *cheering and dancing*

TWO (2) books to go!
B1: 7/8 Read (vampires)READ FAST!!
O5: 7/8 Read (fantasy-scifi)Whoo Hoo! Almost there!

It took me a couple of books to really get into Rachel's series...but LOVED the latest one. Now...waiting almost impatiently for the next....

The service plan for it is up in June. I don't know what I'm going to do if it stops working after that. I can't afford a new one, and I'm gonna need one for school in the fall. *sigh*
I need to finish my challenge books so that I can read the next Lydia Dare book I have. Thay make me feel better. :-)

Woo Hoo only 2 more books to go!!!
Let's win this thing!!

I WANT TO WIN THIS.
Off to read.

Updating now...how goes The Fury? (and finals?)

My finals are going pretty good, I'm about halfway through now. I can't wait till they're over!
I've finished The Fury and I'm giving it 4 stars. This book was way better than the previous two. Elena finally loses the spoiled girl attitude, and the plot is more suspenseful. I actually quite liked this one.
One more book to go (:

CONGRATULATIONS, Sixie Chicks!
You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'vampires'.
[Your new BINGO card can be viewed on page 1]
Good Job!! :D

I give The Wonderful Wizard of Oz 4 stars. It's a cute story about a girl lost in the world of Oz. She becomes friends with a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion, trying to find her way back home. I read this when I was very little, so this was a bit of a nostalgic read for me.
That means.. We are now ready to BINGO!
*starts the Bingo-dance*
