I'm going to tea with my daughter and mom today and hopefully I will finish up
after that. This could possibly be one of my favorite days ever. Getting to read the new book in my favorite series AND taking my daughter to tea for the first time. She is so excited! If I make it to the library I will be reading
(it was supposed to arrive months ago, but due to a software conversion, it was victim to a slight glitch) If I don't get there, I will read
. I will post after our outing :D
Well, I want to read
for the paranormal-romance shelf, but I can't specifically find it on that massive list. On the book's info page, it does show that it's on the paranormal-romance shelf. Let me know if I need to go through the whole list page by page and make sure that I find it.
Alyssa wrote: "Well, I want to read

I'll be reading Caressed By Ice (finally, yay!). :D
Yay! Thanks, Miss! I'm excited that you're excited about your paranormal-romance read. Haha! (I'm a little hyper right now.... Shhh.... Don't tell anyone....) Oh, and are you liking that series? I would guess that you are, since you're excited about getting to read the third one. I've been meaning to check it out for a while. If only there were more hours in the day.
Alyssa wrote: "Yay! Thanks, Miss! I'm excited that you're excited about your paranormal-romance read. Haha! (I'm a little hyper right now.... Shhh.... Don't tell anyone....) Oh, and are you liking that series? ..."
Yes, i really like that series, Singh is a great author and her books also have interesting plots and worldbuilding (besides the romance). :)
Heather wrote: "Okay, we made it to the library. I will be reading
."Yay for the library! :-D What other awesome books did you get?
I actually picked up a couple books on CD in addition to Changeless, they help de-stress my drive to and from work. I picked up a Jane Green novel and Storm Front by Jim Butcher (the add book link isn't working right now) But I have about 4 or 5 other books from the library at home right now. I am fortunate to be part of a two county interloan library system.
I love the interloan library system. Almost all of my library books are sent from other libraries. I'd probably be very broke if my library didn't have it.
Heather I too listen to audio books when driving to and from work. I have a long 50 mile one way commute.
@Alyssa (and all!)~ditto what Miss said~if you have a book you want to read, check it's shelves. If the exact shelf is there (use the search hints Steph gave, if necessary) then you don't have to find the EXACT shelf.Oh, and changing books is also OK (just make sure you didn't start it before the shelf was announced) as long as it is on the shelf!
I'll be getting up the shelf info soon...but not too soon. I think we may be going out to lunch (but NOT because anyone realizes it's Mother's Day...sigh...but that's still OK with me)
Happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating it today (and those who aren't, too!)
Okay Judithe, sorry to do this to you, but hopefully you haven't updated the spreadsheet yet. There is absolutely NO WAY I can read anything remotely serious or heavy after finishing Hard Bitten. Looking at the reviews for Changeless it has a bit a cliffhanger, and I cannot! deal with one of those right now. Instead, I will be reading
for paranormal-romance. Nice, light, fun reading is what my brain needs right now. Wow!Additionally, I feel I should warn anyone that is a CV fan, that does not HAVE to read the book right away. I would reccommend waiting until Drink Deep is supposed to come out in November and read both at once. It isn't a cliff-hanger in KMM style, but I am sitting here trying to figure out where CN is taking this.
NP, Heather! It'd be easy to change it even if I had it up, which I don't! (Instead of this, we had lunch out~not for Mother's Day, but just a Sunday habit...though spouse said, "Maybe we should eat in since you're (me) so sick and all..." "Sure, darlin! As long as you go buy some food and cook!" Obviously, we ate OUT!)
Judithe wrote: "(Instead of this, we had lunch out~not for Mother's Day, but just a Sunday habit...though spouse said, "Maybe we should..."I'm sorry to hear about the not-Mother's day lunch out, that stinks! Hope it was at least fun.
I know I marked that I started reading
before the shelf was announced, but I swear I haven't even opened it yet. Is that still ok, or should I just pick something else? :-/
Alyssa, as long as you read the book from beginning to end after the shelf is announced, you're ok. {Team Stats Updated}

:D I'm looking forward to it, too!Any ideas of what to do with STRAWBERRIES? I got a huge box yesterday...and another friend/student just dropped off another box...like 2~3 pounds EACH...and I'm already making jam, strawberry shortcake is for dessert tonight (and maybe breakfast tomorrow!)....
My favorites are strawberries on belgian waffles, like you do with shortcake and then something we call pretzel jello. Bottom layer is pretzel sticks, then strawberry jello with fresh berries cut up in it, and finally cool whip on top. I have no idea how my mom gets the jello to gel on top of the pretzels, unfortunately, it isn't a recipe I have made before. It is from my family in the midwest so maybe someone else is familiar with the recipe? The kids and adults all love it.
I wish I could, too! I'll keep an eye out for pretzel jello ingredients. At the moment, I'm making a second batch of strawberry jam, finished the first batch, made strawberry ice, and have the rest prepped for shortcake (and maybe waffles for a snack later this week!) BTW, pancakes/waffles/donuts are not considered a breakfast food here...lol! My spouse FREAKED the first time I made the kidlets pancakes on a Sunday morning. He considers all of those "afternoon snack" foods.

But I do have strawbs, when I've got some on my brekkie cereal.
For the paranormal-romance shelf I'll read Need and I think I'll switch my urban-fantasy shelf to Catching Fire. Still thinking about the vampires shelf (:I love strawberries. Especially strawberry-pie with fresh ones on top and a lot of whipped cream. Hmmm.
I'm really sorry I disappeared on you guys! I've had a ton of family stuff happening so I've fallen behind on all my stuff. I'm starting to catch up though.I'll read
for vampires and
for paranormal-romance.Strawberries are awesome dipped in chocolate, with pancakes or as sorbet :)
I hope everything is al right now Nairabell (: Pretty awesome you can use the Women of the Otherworld series for about every shelf, lol. And strawberries dipped in chocolate are awesome indeed.
Strawberry shortcake was a "thumbs up" ...hmmm...have to see about getting some choco tomorrow...though that seems like a lot of effort (have to get the rest of the crew on it).I'm updating you both on the sheet~fun reads!
For Paranormal Romance shelf: The Darkest Kiss.Even though I don't post much, I love reading all the posts. You guys brighten my days. I send 'light' (good thoughts) when one of you doesn't feel well or are having a not-so-great day, etc.
Blessings to all.

Frustrating! Sorry!!
I couldn't figure out how to make the document bigger, but if you press "control" and "+" it will make the screen view larger. Press "control" and "-" to reverse it.

I just got my computer back 4 days ago, and now it's not working again!! Seriously, what the heck? Like I don't have enough problems to deal with already.....
*sighs* I think I need some chocolate.....

Zaanodes, wow.... yeah, that could be some killer chocolate. LOL!!!!
Alyssa wrote: "That is a great name, Zaanodes. Lol. That made me feel a little better. Haha."Any time!
Heather wrote: "Zaanodes wrote: "Alyssa wrote: "*sighs* I think I need some chocolate..."How about a Triple-'O'-by-chocolate cake??"
Ohhh...I could use some, too!!!!
Hope the PC is fully functional soon-sooner-soonest!
*sending chocolate to Alyssa*I've finished my book for the urban-fantasy shelf!
I give Catching Fire 4 stars!
I didn't really like how the book started. There's a lot of switching back and forth in time and it took a while for the book to get going. When it finally did pick up some speed I liked it a lot, but it just didn't feel as awesome as The Hunger Games. I am looking forward to Mockingjay though!

I am finished with my paranormal romance book.
read 5/9/2011 3 starsThis book was like a roller coaster. One minute I'm loving the story the next I'm not enjoying it. Ever can be so strong and smart one second and the next so naive and not so bright. She faces some pretty tough choices in this book and a couple of times I didn't agree with her decisions. I do not envy the choice she had to make between her true love or her family. I look forward to finding out what happens next as the book ended so abruptly. Hopefully Ever will not let me down this time.
Oh....abrupt ends are rather jolting! I think that is a choice I would never want to be in the position to have to make. Fingers crossed that the next one is better!

I finished Savage Nature on 5/8/11 and gave it 4*'s. I really enjoy this series. I haven't read Christine Feehan's Dark series, but have the first book on my tbr shelf at home. I appreciate these books for what they are. Nothing to heavy, just fun adventure, a bit of mystery to solve and a whole lot of romance. It was great to see Drake finally find his mate. He was such a great character in some of the other books and deserved to find the feisty Saria. Now to wait for the next book to come out. I wonder who it will be about, there are so many good candidates!
