Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'm totally having internet withdrawal without my computer. Thanks for the sympathy. i I'm getting frustrated with the darn thing. I just sent it in for like the same problem last year. Soo glad I got the extended warranty thing with it when I bought it. Except that is up in June, so I guess I'll be getting a new one the next time something goes wrong.

message 553: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'm trying to write posts on my phone. That's why I'm making another one. Didn't mean to post the other one before I was done. Whoops. This is difficult as heck too.

Jackie: I thought it was good. Now that I think about it though, it may not have been as amazing as City of Glass, IMO. I really want to get my hands on the COFA audiobook. I've heard it was good. Plus, Ed Westwick did some of the reading, so it should be awesome.

Judithe: I really enjoy the series. Hope you get a chance to read it sometime.

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments I can't believe how many teams have three in a row on their cards! Thanks for sending out the comparison Judithe, it's good to see where we stand. We are so close on three of our stamps, let's go Sixie Chicks!

Good luck with your pc Alyssa, we had ours crash shortly before bingo started and that was a painful few days!

Judithe | 6566 comments Heather, saw you marked Ascension: A Dark Breed Novel as TBR...just started it, and up to Chapter 5. Loving it!

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments I actually saw that you were reading it and really liking it on my news feed. Plus, my son is obsessed with Greek mythology, so I thought I would check it out based on your comments. Looking forward to seeing what you think of it once you are done.

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Oh man, Alyssa. I feel for ya. I'm lost without my computer. Hope you can fix it.

message 558: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Thanks, Steph. I think it will be fixed. Plus, I'm super glad that it's not gonna cost me anything. I'm just frustrated cuz I just had it fixed a year ago for the same problem. So now I'm worried that it's going to die again next year. Cuz if that happens, that means I need to buy a new one. Too expensive!

Oh, guess what! I finished Tall, Dark & Hungry for the Paranormal Fiction shelf. 4 Stars. Super cute! More review to be posted later.

I can't believe I'm actually caught up with the shelves. I guess being between jobs does have some benefits. I'm loving all this extra reading time. Not that I didn't take my books to work with me though. Lol.

PS: I'm getting super fast at typing on my phone's keyboard. Lol. Now I'm soo glad I got one with the full keyboard. Although, I may need to get glasses. Such tiny words! Haha.

I had 4 days without it last year and it was like the world ended.

LOL Sandra! I would'a freaked if I hadn't had my iPad and phone to use.

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments It's gonna be about 2 weeks or something till I get it back. That's like how long it was gone last year. Luckily I can go to the library and get online for an hour a day. Otherwise, I would completely die without it. As it is, the next two weeks are looking pretty bleak. :-(

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments Yeah! Way to go Celine! We have three in a row on our card now!!!!

Can't wait for our next shelf to be announced... finished a book last night and just waiting to start the next once the shelf is announced. Luckily it is a busy weekend with egg dying, kids haircuts, a friend's 30th bday party and Easter tomorrow. :D

message 568: by Cee (new)

Cee | 180 comments Thanks guys! I hope our next shelf will be vampires, that's an easy one and we would have four in a row then.

I love these Easter days. Now there is plenty of time to read and eat way too much eggs in the meantime. (:

Hope everyone has an awesome Easter :)

Well, you're not the only one that thought something was wrong, Nairabell. I took egg dying literally the first time I read through Heather's post. I was gonna ask why her eggs were dead before I read it again. Whoops. Haha. Although, it was seem your mistake probably freaked you out a bit more than mine did.

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Finally posting my longer reviews! Here's the one for COFA.

City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was soo excited when I found out that Cassie Clare would be writing three more books for the Mortal Instruments series. I absolutely loved the characters when I met them in the first three books.

This book focused a lot more on Simon. It was nice to kind of get more of a feel for somebody other than Clary and Jace.

There's a new guy named Kyle in this one. Yum. I think I kind of love him already. Haha.

Jace and Clary are finally together. You would think that that means everything with them is perfect, but no, there's always some new twist to throw at the happy couple. No happy ending for those two just yet.

I think it's awesome that Luke and Jocelyn are getting married. Hopefully after the Mortal War, things between Downworlders and Shadowhunters will become more friendly. I think the wedding could be a good step in that direction. I also love that Luke is getting a happily ever after of sorts. I <3 him.

We met some new baddies in this book too. And when I say bad, I mean pretty frickin' EVIL. They were awesome though. Caused some pretty big problems for the Shadowhunters.

The ending. Cassie Clare left us with a very frustrating cliffhanger at the very end. Sooo evil..... Haha. Waiting for City of Lost Souls is going to be very hard. I just might make it though, since Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices, #2) will be out in the fall to distract me.

To finish...... I really enjoyed City of Fallen Angels.

P.S. I bought the Barnes and Noble version of the book, which means I got Jace's letter to Clary in City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) . After reading it, I love him soooo much more. I very nearly teared up when I read it.

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Tall, Dark & Hungry (Argeneau, #4) Tall, Dark & Hungry by Lynsay Sands

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved this one like I love the others before it. It was a cute, happy little read for me.

I love the Argeneau family. I'm soo glad it was finally Bastien's turn to get a little lovin'.

Terri is cute, and she cracks me up sometimes. Terri comes to New York to help her cousin Kate with her wedding to Lucern. While there, she ends up staying with Luc's brother Bastien, and the sparks immediately start flying.

This was a light, funny read like the others before it. I totally need to remember to grab another one of these books if I ever need some cheering up and a great happily ever after ending.

Can't wait till I get a chance to read the next one, A Bite to Remember (Argeneau, #5) .

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments Oh boy! Sorry to have frightened anyone :D I even thought as I wrote that, hmmm, how else could I put that about the eggs, but it is what it is. Not to worry, the kids are perfectly happy and healthy at my house, though, unfortunately, I now have a Justin Beiber look alike in residence. We are enjoying our first streak (2 days, woo hoo) of sunshine in many months. Gotta love that Seattle rain.

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments I finished You Slay Me (Aisling Grey Guardian, #1) by Katie MacAlister on 4/24/11 and gave it 4 *'s. I know there are lots of mixed feelings on this book, but I really enjoyed it. I am excited to read the next boook, but have some library ones to get through first. I liked the relationship between Drake and Aisling and look forward to seeing where this goes next. I loved Jim, he was hilarious. Some of the other characters in the book began to feel a bit tedious, especially Ophelia and Perdita. Aisling didn't bother me at all, so far I have enjoyed her, which I was worried about since I have seen a few comment on not liking her on the posts around the group. I thought she was funny and decent lead female. However, Drake and Jim were by far my favorite characters. I can't wait to read Fire Me Up (Aisling Grey Guardian, #2) by Katie MacAlister .
