Woo just in time! I finished "Spider's Bite". I give it four stars.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read - a lot of action, an interesting plot, some romance that added to the book but didn't take away from it. I'm looking forward to reading the second one as the book ended with an interesting revelation.

Okay I have a question. Between our book shelves last round I started on a book just to read. However, the next shelf was called so I stopped reading it to read for the challenge. So, my question is, can I read this book (I'm only on p. 84 of 563 (14%) for the challenge or would this be unfair? I don't mind either way. I just have this book "Beautiful Creatures" that is from Booksfree that I would prefer to read and send back rather than read one that I own.

I finished Dime Store Magic yesterday (3/25/11). I gave it 4 stars. I had a hard time adjusting to Paige as the narrator at first, I think because I really like Elena. But once the story got going she grew on me and I ended up really enjoying the book.

For the "ya-fantasy" shelf I'm going to read Intertwined by Gena Showalter. I'm not the biggest YA reader but I'm reading this for another challenge so the timing works out. :)

Karen I felt the same way as well with that one. It's hard to get used to someone else because Elena is so amazing.. I love everything about her. But I felt the same as you, once you start reading and get used to her and her world, Paige is also great. Women of the Otherworld is one of my favorite series.

Alright, bear with me. People have been making me run around like a chicken with its head cut off and I am this close to biting someone's head off if they ask me to do one more thing. I am so happy that I finally just took a day off to catch up with everything and cool off some of this building stress.

Ok. So first I have that review for Scent of Darkness by Christina Dodd. I give it 2 stars because I didn't think that it was that mind blowing but just another one of those stories that's enjoyable yet something that you've read like a hundred times. One thing that disappointed me was that Dodd kept making it seem like some world changing thing was behind Ann's 'birthmark' when it wasn't that big of a deal. Otherwise it wasn't that bad of a book.

I'm going to have to get back on the next two books for the shelves that I'm missing. Sorry for my extreme tardiness, hopefully this day off will get me back on track with things.

For My Free Space read I chose: Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning..4*s...when I first started this book I was so lost I had no earthly idea as to what was happening what had happened or what was about to happen but after my life calmed down some the book started to make sense. Luckily for me I figured it out by the time I was at the end. I like the way KMM tied the loose ends up but at the same time she left the book open enough that if she does decide to write another part of this story she has a blueprint to follow. Enjoyed the series.

Thanks everyone. I feel much better with that day off and I also finished the books for our shelves.

Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill I give the book 4 stars. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. One aspect that I liked was how Neill made Merit's inner vamp like a caged tiger that was prowling inside of its cage. She really nailed the inner beast conflict in my opinion.

As for The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Chima.... I give it 2 stars. I'm generally not very interested in YA books and this one just another one of those books. At points I felt as if I was forcing myself to read the book and found my thoughts wandering away from the story. Maybe it was because I was up and reading it at 2 in the morning, but I'm going to have to come back and reread this one some time in the future.

I finished Eternal Kiss of Darkness by Jeaniene Frost...4*s....it was a quick read. This is the 2nd in the series, I liked the fact that Bones & Cat made brief appearances. The book was good, looking forward to the next one.
