((on the issue of where they go: i have not a freaking clue about the geography of america, so you guys decide :D))
Skye frowned. She didn't really like the way Jordan was making all the decisions, taking all the hits. She'd already been semi-unconcious not that long ago. Skye, on the other hand, was fine. So she didn't go to find the little girl and hide. She stayed where she was, loosening her muscles, preparing for a fight.

"So, what?!" Skye called. "You just get recaptured? And I stand here and watch? You're the only reason we're free! I may just be a pathetic little mutant, but I'm not that useless!"

((But thats just the thing: it sounds like Jordans saying that skye IS useless LOL))
Skye stormed back into the woods. Somehow she managed to storm quietly and stealthily. She couldn't believe that Jordan had done that. Been so quick to throw away her freedom. She bit her lip when she heard shouts, but kept walking. That was what Jordan wanted, right??

Skye heard another shout. Lithos. She smacked her forehead. Lithos was in no condition to fight. She sighed and took a running launch, trying to avoid being smacked in the face by tree branches. Why did everything have to be so hard? Why couldn't the Erasers just piss off??

((Yeah, OK XD I just found it worded funneh))
Skye ducked, rolling through the air a couple of times. She clenched her teeth and chose an Eraser to pick on. That's how she fought. Methodically. Kick, straight on punch, left hook, another kick in the stomach, then, hopefully, a punch to the head hard enough to knock the Eraser out. She always felt some satisfaction seeing an Eraser spiralling down to Earth, wings useless and ugly face snarling in confusion.
Then, she'd move to the next Eraser. It was a lot harder than that, of course, she had to defend as well as attack.

"I dunno," Skye said, her voice sounding funny through her clenched teeth. "Probably looking after the kid. Or complaining about his - " She was cut off as she got hit in the shoulder. She angrily kicked back at the Eraser, saying "-stupid nose!"

Skye stopped for a second after she'd knocked out another Eraser. This was too easy. Why was it so easy? There had been 3 against, what, 12? 12 supposedly highly trained killing machines. Maybe she was being paranoid. But something didn't seem right.

Skye frowned. Either there was something wrong with the Erasers, this was a trap of some sort, or... There was something wrong with them. She flew towards Lithos. "Nothing like kicking Eraser butt," she muttered.
((sorry jd!! i just realised we kinda stole jordans limelight... soz.))

"Craaaaaaaaap," Skye said, drifting downwards a little. She didn't feel so good about beating the Erasers so well anymore. More DNA changes? It was like the scientists were addicted to it. It was like fiddling around with human beings was a drug for them. "I wonder if Spencer too..."
((hahha I just started singing, "YOUR DNA, YOUR DNA, YOUR DNA IS MY DRUG" ke$ha lol...))

"ughhhhhhhh I'm staring to wish I hadn't said anything..."
((I don't either. That just popped into my head.))
"What's the bloody point of them giving us more strength?" Skye asked in frustration. "So we can beat their Erasers better?"
"What's the bloody point of them giving us more strength?" Skye asked in frustration. "So we can beat their Erasers better?"
"I guess if they don't find out about it... meaning no Erasers make it back... Crap. They have those recorder thingies, don't they?" Skye sighed. The adrenaline was wearing off and she felt dull and empty.

Skye let Lithos do the talking. She wasn't sure if she was more angry at the fact Spencer had done nothing to help or that he was now joking about it. She sighed. She just wanted to go somewhere where nothing bad would happen. Where they could all just live in peace, and not be hunted just because they were different.
"Hey, where's the kid?" she asked suddenly.
"Hey, where's the kid?" she asked suddenly.

((yes it was a girl))
"You found it?" Skye asked. "Seriously Spencer, all anybody asked of you was to make sure that a girl didn't run off on you. Was it really that hard?"
"You found it?" Skye asked. "Seriously Spencer, all anybody asked of you was to make sure that a girl didn't run off on you. Was it really that hard?"

"My name isn't it" The little girl said, frowning.
"Of course it isn't," Skye said soothingly. "Spencer's just a ba-" she stopped herself in time "bad boy. And so while we could be dead right now, the most important thing in the world in stupid blueberries," Skye said accusingly. She wasn't really that angry at Spencer. He hadn't known about the Erasers. But she needed to get her anger out somehow. Here was a good excuse.

Skye stomped up to Spencer and punched him. She remembered his nose at the last second and swerved off to the left, punching his cheek. She took a few stumbling steps back and fell to the ground, shuddering. It was too much. First a random attack on Lithos, then an extra girl who couldn't even fly to look after, then the Erasers. She just wasn't in the mood to deal with Spencer's so-called humour. He always picked on her. He and Lithos were both older than her, maybe he thought it was funny to tease her, mock her. She looked up at him, glaring.

Skye sighed. Now she felt bad. Great. "Why don't you pick some berries while you're at it," she muttered.

He woke up suddenly. It was dark, very dark. He grabbed his shirt which was still a little damp, but pulled it over his head. "Oh crap...." Spencer muttered walking back through the forest. "So much for finding a place to set up camp..."
Skye didn't say much for the rest of the evening. She just didn't feel like it. She just went along with what everyone else said. But after Spencer had disappeared for an hour, she felt worried and guilty. What if she'd hit some nerve and he was lying on the ground somewhere, unconscious?
She quietly walked away from Lithos, Jordan and the little girl looked for any sign of where he might have gone to.

"Looking for you, duh," Skye said. "Thought you might've died coz I punched you or something." Now it seemed funny that Spencer could've died from a punch. Yeah right.
Skye laughed, then fell silent. "Sorry about your nose," she said. "But what you said was really stupid. Especially seeing as there was an eight-year old or something on the scene."
