Oh, it's in my house. Sitting on my bar. Staring at me as I type. It's Saving Francesca. So I'm a bit torn between reading it right away, or waiting just a little bit longer so I can read it closer to the US release of Piper's Son in March. Every little bit will help to keep the story in my head right?

I really liked Saving Francesca Brittany, but nothing beats Jellicoe Road for me yet...perhaps Piper's Son will??? We shall see! I have
to read.

Definitely not. Mine talk to me all the time! I was actually looking at my Hunger Games trilogy today (or it was looking at me) thinking about how I wanted to pick those books up again because I love them so much and I've never gotten to read them all in order back to back, but I just don't think I'm ready to go through the depressive state that is Mockingjay again just quite yet.
I'm going to use some of my Christmas gift money to order Looking for Alibrandi and Saving Francesca. I can't wait to read them...
I read Stolen... It left me feeling like I had Stockholm Syndrome. I couldn't stop myself from caring for Ty despite what he did! I feel like I need to see a Psychiatrist.

Something about the book reminds me of
The Sparrow. The Sparrow is not YA but it is amazing.

I am so sad about the end... I really was hoping for something different. He was just so broken and lonely, lmao. Said the girl with literary stockholm syndrome.
I keep imagining a part two that I know will never happen.
I totally agree, Wendy.. a part two would be amazing. Ahhh you're making me want to re-read that book but I have so many other things to do right now :(

I just added the first 2 books to my TBR pile. Do you think better or worse than the Darkest Powers Trilogy?
Ok.. working on Pride by Rachel Vincent (really loving the stray series!) .. and I just bought Jellicoe Road due to the outcry on here to read it.. I don't think I have EVER seen a book with consistent 5 star ratings on here AND on Amazon. Might dive into it tonight :)
Brittany wrote: "I just added the first 2 books to my TBR pile. Do you think better or worse than the Darkest Powers Trilogy?"Are you talking about Stolen by Lucy Christopher? If so, it's a single book.
Carmel I love Jaclyn and am listening to Ghosts of Ashbury High right now on audio (I think you know of my love of narrators from your native land :) Year of Secret Assignments is the best so far IMO.
I'm around fifty pages into Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I know... I'm really behind. But at least I'm finally reading it now!
After this, I'm going to read Night World, No. 1: Secret Vampire; Daughters of Darkness; Spellbinder (Night World, #1-3) by L.J. Smith. I'm actually gonna read all three of the books in the series for a book challenge. I might take a break somewhere in the middle & read Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler when it comes in at the library to take a small break.

Oh! I haven't heard about "The sparrow" but I'll check it out :)

I just finished Succubus Shadows by Richelle Mead. It's not YA, but I really liked the Vampire Academy series so I started the Georgina Kincaid series and am really into it. Too bad I have to wait almost a year for the next one!I'm about to start Clockwork Angel today.

Hey Peep...Carmel is giving you a run for your money on her GR shelves. I miss talking about your shelves Peep - is that weird??
Carmel wrote: "Ha ha Heidi I, for sure!!"p.s. I hope other readers know I was referencing the book with my last post, otherwise it would seem a little overboard. Oh well, people already think I'm nutty anyway :)
Carmel wrote: "Heidi I, I could get it for you and send it but postal may bump the price up a little."Oh believe me, I already checked on buying it from AU, but the postal cost was even more than the book! I could not justify it. I just need to wait until March...I just need to wait until March. Is it March yet?

Oh I know, but all the same I'm glad you think it's worth the wait. Gives me something to look forward to! I also may or may not be in a bit of a whiney mood. It's not your fault it's already published in your current location.
I'm currently reading Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink and if ever I finish it today I will pick Torment by Lauren Kate from my bookshelf and will start reading right away.Prophecy of the Sisters is nice. The mystery and the conflict between Alice and Lia really caught my attention and I must say it was written in a beautiful lyrical prose style that I couldn't put it down (if it weren't for my exams)
I have read the first 50 pages of Torment, though. I get pretty bored when a story repeats itself -- new school and new people to deal with. And the Fallen series are quite lovelier than Hush, Hush. (That, my friend, is only an opinion.)
Okay...I am traumatized. I just found out the prequel to the Chaos Walking series (The New World) has only been released as an e-book...what is going on? I hope that means it is being released later as a real, live feel-the-pages and pet the cover book!?!

I looked up the author's website and there is no mention of it. It is available as an ebook on B&N. I found an article from a couple months ago that said it was being released on Amazon as a free ebook.

Kourtni wrote: "It's called The New World and it is available on Amazon for Kindle for free!"Only one problem for me, I refuse to give myself over to technology. All I can hope is that it goes into print because otherwise, I will never get the chance to read it.
So finished Jellicoe Road after staying up half of last night and I must say.. wow. GREAT recommendation everyone! Liked the author so much that I bought Finnikin of the Rock last night to start.. pretty good so far!
That's exactly how I was Jill! I still prefer a real live book over technology, but I've found that I can put books on my Kindle app on my Ipod and sneak a little reading at work. ;) Not to mention that I can access those few books that are not available in print.

It's very different from Jellicoe but I enjoyed it just as much, just in a very different way.
