I'm getting throught the BDB books, haha! I do have all three of the Knife books on my shelf to read next. I also have Graceling and the Bartimaeus Tril I want to read. Once I read Lover Avenged and Lover Mine, then I'll start.

No problem... that's why I'm here!
Jamie wrote: "Currently reading Switched. It's actually really really good so far!!!"I looked it up on B&N and it is only available as an ebook? Is that what you have or you found a real copy? I refuse to give up paper books so I hope it isn't going to become a trend to publish only on ereaders!
Ooooh, man. That is what scares me about ereaders... I am going to get a kindle but this is the first book I've heard of that is only on an e-reader and that scares me enough to make me rethink...
I found Gregor the Overland BUT...THIS IS EVEN WORSE. For my job I drive a lot. So yesterday I was driving along (about 2 hrs from home) )and I finished CD 7 of Bloody Jack #3. So I reach in the case to pull out the next CD and it's CD 9!!!! CD 8 is missing. I'm going to kill the library over this (after I thoroughly search my messy car).It was getting very very good then BAM I had to listen to the radio for 2 hours. Talk about being cursed with books this week!!!!

OMG! I just posted earlier this week that I was listening to Bloody Jack book four and it is missing the last disk! What is it about that series. I am including a note when I return it, but the library better not think I stole it. Why oh why would anyone take 1 CD out of 13?
I don't know!!! BLOODY JACK BANDIT STRIKES AGAIN! I'm just ordering this book to solve the whole library is screwing up issue.I'm not returning it with a note. I'm going up to the desk and saying "This was missing a disk." If they blame me I'm pitching a fit. No shame. I'm not buying them a book and me a book because of their screw up. They ruined my drive yesterday! Bah Humbug on them for disappointing me.

Sorry Cassi. I feel your pain. I am going to the library tomorrow to get the actual book so I can see how it ends.
I've only listened to the Bloody Jack series and I love it so much on audio that I worry I'll love in less in book form. Weird, but what can you do? Just going to bite the bullet and buy it.
Cassi wrote: "I've only listened to the Bloody Jack series and I love it so much on audio that I worry I'll love in less in book form. Weird, but what can you do? Just going to bite the bullet and buy it."Your library doesn't have the print version, or do you mean you are buying the audio???
It has the print version but I like the audio SO MUCH that I want to listen to it. So I'm going to buy it.
Cassi wrote: "It has the print version but I like the audio SO MUCH that I want to listen to it. So I'm going to buy it."Ahh I see. Understandable. I bought that book (3)from audible because my library did not have it. Then, I drove 45 minutes away to another library to get book 4 (the one that does not have CD 13!), luckily I can drop it off at my local library. None of the libraries in my system have books 5-8 on audio, so I may try the next one in print and if I need to I may buy the audio for that one too. Sorry again Cassi!

I am readingGodless by Pete Hautman
Maximum Ride: The Angle Experiment by James Patterson
Tales by Edgar Allan Poe
I finally started reading The Hunger Games and am surprised to find that I really like it. Once I saw that it was written in present tense I didn't expect to but it has surprised me in a good way.
I was going to start
but I'm not in the mood for slaughter right now, so I'm thinking I will start either
or
next.
I'm reading "Entice" by Carrie Jones...super excited about it! for those who haven't read TKONLG is an amazing series I think is great for fans of Hunger Games, Maze Runner and dystopian in general. Happy read everyone!
Amanda are you listening to Angus or reading it? You must listen to the audio of that series at some point :)
Heidi I wrote: "Amanda are you listening to Angus or reading it? You must listen to the audio of that series at some point :)"I am reading it, but I will definately listen to it if it's that good.

It is excellent on audio. I know Brittany from this group read the first book and just thought it was "ok" and then listened to the audio for book two and liked it a lot more. If you understand British humor it should be fine in print :)

Heidi I wrote: "I know Brittany from this group read the first book and just thought it was "ok" and then listened to the audio for book two and liked it a lot more...."Yep, that would be me. Also, when I read the pront version I skipped the dictionary in the back because I am quite familar with British lingo, but listening to the character of Georgia read her dictionary when great. Basically, you MUST pick up the audio.
I'm reading
. I haven't read this series yet so decided I wanted something about were's again, so this is it. I'm enjoying it so far.
I'm ignoring the ridiculous amount of to read books on my shelf and re-reading one of my favourite series, The Mortal Instruments :)
It's a snowy morning in the midwest and just started The Knife of Never Letting Go. I am looking forward to it since so many people rave about the series.
I have Lover Mine to read but I'm tempted to read Stolen first. I can finish it in a day and give it back to my friend.
You are going to LOVED it! The only think is I made the mistake to read "Nightshade" after the first four in the "Shift" series and of course "Nightshade" looked very very bad for...I coiuldn't even finished! Have a happy read! I haven't read the last two but I'm sure you are going to enjoy it! Sara wrote: "I'm reading

Amazing! All three books in the series are fantastic! Happy read and looking forward to read about your progress with the book :) Jill wrote: "It's a snowy morning in the midwest and just started The Knife of Never Letting Go. I am looking forward to it since so many people rave about the series."

So, I'm reading The Summoning right now, and I'm only about 70 pages in, but I'm not really liking it. Does it get better or should I just move on to something else??
Brittany wrote: "So, I'm reading The Summoning right now, and I'm only about 70 pages in, but I'm not really liking it. Does it get better or should I just move on to something else??"I guess it depends....The book takes a big turn in the middle, I liked the second and third book better.
Brittany wrote: "So, I'm reading The Summoning right now, and I'm only about 70 pages in, but I'm not really liking it. Does it get better or should I just move on to something else??"I only thought it was "ok". To be honest, in general that is my least favorite genre (examples: Beautiful Creatures - boring, Mortal Instruments - quit after 100 pages, Twilight - well....you know).

I wasn't a fan of beautiful creatures either. The Mortal Insturments is one of my favorites though. It's hard to compare anything to Twilight because of the hype.....I did like twilight but I think Robert Pattinson had something to do wiht that.
Brittney, there are so many other great books, if your not enjoying it pass.
Officially started
on the ride to work today. Attempted several times at home this weekend, but my 4 year old son has other plans for his dad than letting me read. :P

Hmmm... maybe I'll finished this one, then I'll decide if it's worth my time to continue on in the series. We'll see I guess. It doesn't help that I have a Melina Marchetta book from the library sitting on the bar just calling my name. It's shouting "Read Me, Read Me... you know you want to! Have I let you down yet?" Silly book doesn't know it's not the only thing out there, then again, it has a point. Melina Marchetta is AWESOME! Motivation to finish quickly I guess.
P.S. I reserved my copy of Shadowfever from the library today. I'm #2 on the list and we're still a month out. Thank you internet!!
