Sooo I'm almost halfway through I Am Number Four. I guess it's not quite as bad as I expected, but it's still not very good. I'm hoping the pace will pick up a little …

Bluemoon wrote: "What's stack overflow?HEIDI: I don't recommend the City of Bones audio. Really don't recommend it.
I'm really disliking the protagonist -_-'"
It is some error message that keeps popping up on GR. Bluemoon thanks for the update. I think City of Bones is just not for me. The writing style reminded me too much of Twilight (which you know I loved).
Have finished Hush Hush, and pretty much loved it, looks like I'll be ordering Crescendo now! I've just ordered Halo, by Alexandra Adornetto, but after reading some reviews I feel I might be disappointed.

I normally skip reviews and read a book to get my own take on it, since my taste varies from others. You should read it and let me know what you think about it.
Will do Sara, I'm a bit like that myself, I've ordered it now, so will definitely give it the benefit of the doubt.
The only reason why I read Halo is because I liked the title of it and it sounded interesting from what I read about it. I wasn't really disappointed in it at all. As much reading as I do, it takes a bit to remember what each book is about. Sad huh?Two YA series I always suggest to people is Harry Potter and Maximum Ride series (this one is by James Patterson), I love them both!!
Just finished
and Heidi, you were right. Excellent book! I really loved it and I thought the mapping references were really neat actually. They helped define her character ona level that can't be expressed in words.

I really liked North of Beautiful too. I am re-reading the Strange Angels series. I'm waiting for some books to come in at the library.

! How random :)"My roommate and I thought this was hilarious last year and so we moved all the copies of each right next to each other in the bookstore. They probably hated us for it, but we had fun doing it :x

I'll second that "yay!!"
just finished "Perfect You" and that book was PERFECT!!! i swear it's one of my favs! it's by elizabeth scott and really is a marvelous book. if you enjoy romance and screaming at the book in your hand to do what you want it to(or not), this IS the book for you!
I finished both
and
in less than two days. I thought they were both pretty awesome! I liked them a lot and I'll be anxiously awaiting the third at the end of December! don't know what to read next.. I have a huge stack calling my name
I think I voted on
. I heard about this book through this thread I believe! As I remember, it comes highly recommended :)
Currently reading
,
,
, and soon to finish
.I tend to read a few chapters of 2 different books everyday, and I only read Graceling during the weekends. All of my current reads are surprisingly GOOD, whith Graceling probably relatively the weakest. I just started Life of Pi today even though it's been in my TBR pile for months and I didn't expect to like it much, but 90 pages in and I'm enjoying it a LOT ^_^
I just finished
, It is a YA aussie book and it was decent, more like Teen fiction than Young Adult. I am going to read
,
and
this week.
Traci wrote: "I think I voted on

Some great books there Tintin!
Bluemoon wrote: "HEIDI: Argh! I already started it and chapter 8 on the book. Still not getting into it. I don't know if I dislike the protagonist or the voice on the audio is just super annoying. (Yes, we all know..."Ha. Skipping it!
Traci wrote: "I think I voted on

Amanda wrote: "I just finished

Confession time. Ok. Here goes...I think I have a girl crush on the narrator for
and
. I could listen to her all day. I think her and the fellow Aussie that narrated
should get together and have babies with cool voices like theirs to carry on the legacy. I know. I'm weird.

Wendy wrote: "How is there NOT a Jellicoe Road thread?! I'm going to go start one right this very instant!"
We talked about it in the Finnikin thread. But we mostly just talk about how good the books are and that people should start them now. Sound familiar? :P
So I finished
yesterday. Meehhh, wasn't very good. I'm about to write a long, ranting review of it. *Rubs hands together*Now I've started
. One of my friends really liked it and recommended it to me. :) I've only read two chapters I think, but it's very intriguing so far …
Very familiar with that conversation, lol. It's what caused me to buy it.It deserves a thread of it's own.
I've just started Stolen by Lucy Christopher which came in the post this morning, the first page has me intrigued already! Anybody else read it yet?
Heidi I wrote: "Some great books there Tintin! "Yeah, thanks to this group and goodreads, it's now easier for me to choose high quality books :)
Erin wrote: "I've just started Stolen by Lucy Christopher which came in the post this morning, the first page has me intrigued already! Anybody else read it yet?"Nope, but I have it here to read!
I finished
, and it was really good. I started
early this morning and will continue to read it through out the day.
Sara wrote: "I finished

Amanda~ I liked it, the only thing I hate is the spelling of some of the words like werwulf instead of werewolf, that drives me bonkers but overall it's a really good series so far...
Sara wrote: "Amanda~ I liked it, the only thing I hate is the spelling of some of the words like werwulf instead of werewolf, that drives me bonkers but overall it's a really good series so far..."yeah, A lot of their made-up words bothered me until I got used to it. I kept asking myself "WHY OH WHY don't they just call them vampires. seriously."
Cassi wrote: "I just finished (last night)
Really liked it! But was a very unhappy book to read last night."
