I am currently reading 2 books. Tempted (book 6 of the House of Night series) by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. and Beastly by Alex Flinn. Both books are quite good. I'm about half way done with both of them

Clover wrote: "I am reading The Princess and the Hound. Started off slow, but its picking up nicely"I really liked that one Clover. The second one is awful beyond belief, but Princess and the Hound was excellent.

I'm glad that it's not overly smutty. I've read the first 2 chapters of Bloodfever and so far I'm liking it a lot more. I never really thought Darkfever felt like it had an ending, so it feels like I'm reading the same book... but better. Although I still maintain that Mac can be just plain annoying sometimes.

Yes we should, because I HATE to spoil books for anyone.
Angela wrote: "I finished Wings and then Spells. Cute escapism but now that I read Disney wants Miley Cyrus as Laurel. . . I'm struggling! Ugh! No way will that work.Yesterday, I finished Hush, Hush and LOVE..."
The reinvented MILEY is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wrong for this book. She wants to enter the grown up world and leave her Hannah years behind, GREAT but stay away from this movie.
Lani wrote: "My favorite book in that series was Perfect Fifths. Oh Marcus Flutie..."
Yes! Marcus is soooo mysterious. So excited that you liked book 5 the best. I will be done with book 4 tonight and so far it is not my favorite, but still good. p.s. book 2 is my favorite so far. You. Yes, You.
Laura wrote: "Sophia wrote: "Lisa wrote: "Percy Jackson and the Olympians are fabulous. Has anyone read or heard anything of "The Last Apprentice" books by Joseph Delaney?"
Yeah. My teacher said it was pret..."
Cool! because I wanted to read those, but my teacher made his comment about them, so I was discouraged. But, thanks! I think maybe I'll check out some of them at the librario or something.
Finished The Kingdom Keepers: Disney after Dark today. It was pretty cute and very original. Anyone read it? I'm looking for a good romance to read next. Any suggestions?
Hate Listonly 150 pages into it, when I am reading it I can't stop. WHen not reading it, thinking about it.

I meant to comment on your awesome pic a long time ago Heidi, but haven't found the time-I love it! I loved book two as well. I actually never finished Fourth Comings. I wasn't enjoying it and Perfect Fifths became available at my library so I skipped ahead. I didn't feel like I missed anything...
I currently re-reading the series that shall not be named, before I go see the movie on the 30th! Haven't touched the books since I first read them back in November, so I'm curious to see if my opinion will change.
I just started listening to The Reformed Vampire Support Group on audio, and I'm enjoying the very different take on vampires.
Jenna: I bought that book forever ago because I thought it looked funny and then forgot about it. You'll have to let me know how it is :]
Traci: I borrowed on a whim from the library, because it just looked so different. I'm currently on disc 2 (out of 9) and it is definitely keeping my interest. The twist that vampires are helpless victims with an "infection" instead of super-powered villains is pretty unusual and I'm down with it so far. I also love that the narrator is a 51-year-old vampire who was infected at age 15. That's also a different take on YA vamp literature, where the vampires are typically male. So far, it's a very refreshing read!
Bluemoon wrote: "I'm actually not liking Darkfever at all. It reminds me of a very adult version of Sailor Moon. *sigh* Hopefully it gets a lot better by the end."As I, (and others), have mentioned, Mac is one of the most annoying protagonists EVER! That being said, she kind of wears you down so you start rooting for her. p.s. the series def. gets better after book one (IMHO).
Lani - thanks for the compliment on my picture :) I finished Fourth Comings last night, and it took every fiber of my being not to start on Perfect Fifths (I already checked it out from the library). I have to read two books before I read it, but I just NEED to know how it all ends. I am so anxious! I hope I am not disappointed.
I am currently reading
and I'm liking it, not loving it. Probably only because I miss the characters from Poison Study. :(
Kourtni wrote: "I am currently reading

I liked Poison Study more than Magic Study, but that is most like because I wanted more Valek in Magic Study. More Valek! More Valek!
I really am enjoying it! I'm just dissapointed with the lack of Valek. That's whats keeping me from loving it.
I have a thing for books where the main character has interaction with animals... probably why I loved this one. :-)
hahaha! The lack of Valek is what got that particular book a lesser rating from me. He was such a big part of the first book that I felt the second book was totally missing something...
Finished Gidion The Cutpurse. I liked it. Not a favorite but I am giving it 3 may 3.5 stars. I just started The Red Pyramid and am enjoying it so far.
aaaahhhhh I just finished Faefever and I NEED Dreamfever immediately! but none of the bookstores around me had it so I had to order it online yesterday and I won't get it until SATURDAY. I have off of work all day tomorrow. What on Earth am I going to do?!
Hang in there, Traci! Once you're done with Dreamfever, you have months and months of waiting ahead of you!
Heidi wrote: "Lani - thanks for the compliment on my picture :) I finished Fourth Comings last night, and it took every fiber of my being not to start on Perfect Fifths (I already checked it out from the librar..."Perfect Fifths is pretty much just Marcus and Jessica- and that's exactly what I wanted. I hope you like it as much as I did!
Finished Magic Study last night. It got better towards the end and I got my Valek fix. :) I sure hope he's around more in Fire Study..
Ok Shannen (and others) I will be starting Dreamfever tonight. I am prepared to be pissed off at the ending! p.s. Bluemoon, don't worry, not every book can be loved by everyone.
Emily (Super Reader Girl Reviews) wrote: "Laura, have you read Tamora Pierce's Wild Magic series? TONS of animal stuff in there. I really liked it! :) May be better to read her The Song of the Lioness Quartet..." Yes yes Yes! Wild Magic was the first book of hers that I read and I fell in love! I sped through all the rest of them after that...
Go, Heidi, go! You're going to love the book but be prepared to be ticked off!
Heidi you will be pissed at the end of Dreamfever but then you can start Perfect Fifths and it will all be better because there is so much Marcus Flutie in it you will forget how annoyed you are for having to wait until shadowfever comes out. Fourth was frustrating but I think in the overall story it was necessary. Kourtni - There is not as much Valek in Magic Study but I guess I didn't mind as much because they are solid. I don't feel like the study series needs romantic conflict to be interesting. Nothing is going to come between them. Oh and you can go to MVS website and read some short stories about Valek for a fix if you need it!
Jaimie - Magic Study was definately interesting enough not to need the romance, I really liked it a lot. I'm just a sucker for romance. :) I got a huge grin on my face when Valek made his appearance, then I laughed at myself for it. Thanks for the tip on the short stories! I will go check out her site now! I love me some Valek. ;)
I'm still on the last book of the Midnighters series. Haven't read a whole lot this month. I'll be reading The Knife of Never Letting Go next and then I have to start the Jessica Darling series!
Susan wrote: "I just started Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot."How is it? I have thought about checking it out.
Shannen wrote: "I'm still on the last book of the Midnighters series. Haven't read a whole lot this month. I'm about 80 pages into The Knife of Never Letting Go and it has not captivated me at this point. I'm really hoping I can get into it soon.
Kortni - I really liked the first two books but the third book is darker and a little more angsty. I haven't been a reading mood lately and I think that is affecting my opinion of the third book too. It's still good though.
Heidi wrote: "Kourtni stick with the Knife. Once Todd goes on the road with Viola it gets much better."
It's not captivating after 80 pages and we should keep reading? Hmmm... Having second thoughts about this one.

Heidi - I am going to stick with it. I rarely quit on a book. I've heard thats when it gets better and I'm almost to that point so yay!Shannen - I will put the first book on my TBR and see how it goes!
Bluemoon, really? You think of it as a romance novel? Red Pyramid? Hmm, yeah, can kinda see that. Haven't decided anything yet until I finish it but work seems to keep me from doing that...
