I really like Gary D. Schmidt."
I liked that one on audiobook and really liked the companion novel

I can't wait to start Seraphina...I'm a sucker for anything with fantasy and dragons!

Yes, not good. You can look at my status updates to see what annoys me so.

WOOT!!!

I can't wait to start this one! I'm trudging through Anna Karenina at the moment, so it might be a while before I get to it though... :(

Love seeing more Patrick Ness fans. Every one of his books is just fantastic!!!

I tried reading the first book, but I just couldn't get into it. I really wanted to like it, but the style bothered me.

Love seeing more Pa..."
So many people mention that. But you have to take into consideration that the main character isn't formally educated...which the style conveys. It didn't bother me. (Unlike when I tried to read a Nicholas Sparks book once. Worst dialogue I've ever read.) Work past it, until you get to the point where Viola joins. I bet you'll like it. It's a really good series.

Hmm, I'm thinking I should give book 2 a chance now.

You probably won't regret it. :)

Woot!

I had also abandoned it once, but decided to give it another try. It is very confusing, I have to agree.

I've not read this yet, but as far as the dialogue goes, if you're into audiobooks, I've heard good things about how this one handles the dialogue and makes it seem smoother and what not.

Yeah it is definitely a series where you get more info in each book. You have to read all three books to get answers but their are a lot of answers in book 2 (as well as more questions!).
