Jennifer Hummer | 3 comments I just finished Rape Girl Rape Girl by Alina Klein. Such an excellent book. I hope this book becomes a must read in all high schools.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Somehow I keep end up unsubscribe to this thread. Just finished Dust Girl (The American Fairy Trilogy, #1) by Sarah Zettel and really liked it. Started Alif the Unseen by G. Willow Wilson .

I'm listening to Witches on the Road Tonight by Sheri Holman which is just weird (not good weird).

AWESOME! Jane Austen has all this 'literary' reputation going on, so getting past that is BAM! If you can get past the language, it's such fun stuff. You're going to get addicted:)

I haven't gotten around to reading any of Jane Austen's novels yet. But I love the movies.

Right now I'm reading
For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund . I freaked out when I heard about this book because my favorite of Austen's stories is by far, Persuasion. And I was more than a little excited about a re-telling of that story with a dystopian twist. I mean, come on...awesome right!?

☼Bookish in Virginia☼ (ren_t) Theo wrote: "The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3) by Rick Riordan"

I loved that series, Theo. Great fun. (Unlike The Book of Lost Things. I picked it up but wasn't drawn in. Going to waste some time and try it again. The wordsmithing is good.)

What did you think of Wither?

message 13258: by Theo (new)

Theo Pamela wrote: "I loved that series, Theo. Great fun. (Unlike The Book of Lost Things. I picked it up but wasn't drawn in. Going to waste some time and try it again..."

Wither was just alright for me. The dystopian world that she created had a lot of holes and wasn't well thought out, but I was drawn into the relationships she created between the characters. Unless you are a huge dystopian fan, I would probably skip it.

Sydney is boring but she grows on you. Adrian witty personality dies a little, you kind of miss it, but you undertand is part of him developing a character.

If you liked Fifty Shades I would guess you would like Beautiful Disaster. I hated Beautiful Disaster and skipped Fifty Shades because it sounded like an X rated version of Beautiful Disaster. I am not into unhealthy relationships like that I guess.

I liked Fifty Shades, but not as much as I hoped I would. I read too much hype before it was released. A little BDSM can just make a good thing better sometimes!! LOL
