Since it was the last book in the series I really wanted to feel satisfied with the end (considering there were 9 books) but overall this book was just not good imo.Starting

"I'm having mixed feelings about it. So far it is really slow. I'm hoping that it will pick up soon, as it is a great concept for a story.

Just finished
I think I need to take a break for a few days because anything I read now just will not compare and I'll hate it! ;-)

Cool, so it turned out to be pretty good then, that's awesome! I guess I'll have to read it then!Just finished City of Bones and started City of Ashes :) I'm loving The Mortal Instruments so far!!
Just finished Legend by Marie Lu, and deciding whether to start Shatter Me or Unwind. Both i just checked out from the library.

YAY! I'm so glad you're liking it!! Wait til you get to City of Glass. It's soooo good :D
Awesome!! I just finished Ashes and found City of Glass at library yay!! Nabbed Clockwork Angel while I was at it :)
David wrote: "Awesome!! I just finished Ashes and found City of Glass at library yay!! Nabbed Clockwork Angel while I was at it :)"I love the Mortal Instruments series and the first and the third are the best in my opinion. But now the fifth isn't as bad as the fourth one.
Oh, I envy you for the experience of reading the books for the first time. I've read them (book 1-3) already 2-3 times and it was always great.I love Magnus and he's a great humor. Guess he's my fav. character besides Jace :)
I just finished
and
. The Selection was pretty good and I loved Clockwork Prince! I really, really like the Infernal Device series (and Will is awesome). :) Not sure what I'm gonna start on next. :P

In the first book she was great and better than Clary (from MI) but now in the second she is not cruel with Jem and Will, don't you think?

Such an awesome book with the kind of heroine that is sadly lacking in a lot of YA these days. Sam is tough, funny and real. Not to mention a diverse cast of characters (another thing lacking in YA) and a great paranormal storyline that isn't trite. Read this series and fall in love with Sam and Caleb and Mia and Dougie.
Just finished
Interesting to get these kind of insights from a YA perspective but in terms of the story itself, don't feel compelled to return to this world.
David wrote: "I love Jace so much in a completely heterosexual manner"LOL! Good clarification ;) I love Jace too! He's definitely my favorite character, followed closely by Magnus :)

So sad, I didn't have time to finish City of Glass and Clockwork Angel before I had to return them to the library before leaving Australia. I'll have to find them somewhere along my trip!

It took a moment to adjust to the formatting, but I really like it so far.

I really wanted to like it, but the story was kind of ridiculous at some points (I mean, the first one involved a "love triangle" between (view spoiler)[a grandmother and two teenage cousins (hide spoiler)].["br"]>["br"]>
